I tried it. It is sticky by itself. If you use a leave in with it you don't get the stickiness.

Just so everyone knows Glycerin can be made from different vegetables or made synthetically. Even when purchasing glycerin by itself certain brands treat my hair differently. Sometimes it's the formulation that makes a difference. You can even use glycerin products in humidity or dry climates if the hair gel or cream is formulated for it. I would look at the other ingredients surrounded by it too including oils like coconut which for example Sheamoisture uses those two in the first 4 ingredients and you notice a lot of people's hair doesn't take very well to it. Just a thought. LOVE THE HAIR by the way. You make me want to try AVEDA but the cost is insane. I wish it was at least 16oz/20oz

I tried these two products for a wng and it was a no for me. I didn’t like the results on day 1. By the time I got to day 3, it had no chance.

Great results ! Hair looks so shiny and defined . How long did your style last when you took down the twist? I also suffer with scalp issues and I’ve noticed sometimes if a product is to perfumy it will irritate my scalp.

I think it’s weird when a brand that is made for koily hair releases “flexible” hold products….there’s already a million flexible/ medium hold gels and curl creams out there on the market. Make a product that will work for the koily folks

OMG You must be my hair twin! lol I am the exact same way when it comes to glycerin. My hair does not like it at all but thisss gel…#doesnotmiss. Now, I was worried too, for the exact same reason you gave; glycerin is the second ingredient. But, I found a sample size on eBay, tried it and my hair turned-out good so I decided to place an order for the gel and the primer. The primer is straight fi-yah. Yes, these products I find to be pricey, that’s Aveda for ya,’ but they are formulated so well and the results so telling with the first application that it was hard to pass up. My hair is also gaining inches…after three uses!! 🤩

Have you tried Curls and Potions Curling Jelly? You would like it more.

Thanks for the video content. I was also surprised by my results after using the pattern custard. In my experience, I believe it is their best styling product for curly hair from their line. Only used the custard once, for wash and go and it held the style for a week! But honestly, I could not deal with the strong perfume smell. Despite how nice it left my hair, the scent lingered, on my clothes, my pillow and until the next wash day even - was awful lol - I returned it.
