All true! Very likely some of them were in their late teens. (Remember James and John were working with their father). It was customary in those days for a rabbi to call his disciples between the ages of 13-15 so it's possible some of them were as young as 13. Even if John was 20 at the time of the crucifixion, that would have made him roughly 17 when Jesus called him 👍

      1. I'm saying even if he was at 20 the the crucifixion. We don't know how old he actually was, but all Biblical evidence points to many of the disciples (if not 11 of the 12) being under the age of 20. 2. We don't know John was the youngest. It's speculated, but there's nothing Biblically that points to that.

Just stories in a book to try to make you a “better” person that were taken and ran with into becoming real in people’s minds. The Bible is purely opinions on how humans should live and is now so corrupted by the church that there is nothing left. No human on this earth has ever died and been magically teleported to this awful eternal dimension full of other mfrs that rejected Christ.

That’s the KEY if you are TRULY saved I think a lot of people speak it with their mouths, but not truly born again, so in a way once saved always saved is not a false doctrine if you’re truly saved in the first place. I believe that you are transformed when you are truly saved and born again, you don’t want to live for the world your conscience, Christ that is in you helps navigate through this life, we may stumble a little, but the Lord picks you up and puts you right back on track, but that’s the problem. I don’t know if people are truly sold out and saved and born again….if so you don’t want to sin….you are checked by the Holy Spirit.. as the scripture says Lord Lord I did all of these things in your name and the Lord says depart from me I never knew you. 😢

I disagree. Lust may present itself as an addiction to pornography, which one could argue is as damaging as adultery in a marriage. When you lust openly would it be less damaging to a relationship, than having hateful speech (which Jesus said amounts to murder)??? It's dangerous to say the effects can be measured as some sins are more damaging than others. Practically, that is not true and can open to door to becoming pedantic about sin. My sin hurts less than yours. My sin of lust is less damaging than yours of theft or deception in our relationship. Now we can compete. We do not always understand the damage our sin causes, let alone take the measure it. There is not competition, sin is sin, is all bad, is all dangerous, none is worse than the other, none has greater effects, it all leads to death and it can all be highly damaging. 😊

What is the difference between adultery and fornication? Adultery is cheating on your spouse. And fornication is sexual immorality. Looking at a beautiful woman and wanting to be with her is not a sin. How is life created? If men and woman didn’t have attraction to each other there would be no people on the earth. God also said- ‘be fruitful and multiply’ 🤷‍♂️🫤

So, today, we have a bunch of people who quote the Bible as giving us 21st century morals. People are quite capable of doing the right thing without resorting to the words of 1st and 2nd century hacks.

No it’s the same to Lust after a woman and have an Affair. It’s okay to have those thoughts presented to you, but once you ponder on them, you commit a grave sin. It dose affect your Marriage when you lust after another woman/ or Man. Venial sin you’re still in God’s grace. Like what we are all born with original Sin. Mortal Sin- you knowingly and willingly separate yourself from God’s grace hence have to go to confession in Jesus, gave his apostles, a.k.a. the first priest, the power to forgive Sins like himself. To be back in Gods Grace and make amendments not to even be in the new occasions of sin. John 20:23

They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. The Bible says that the are degrees of punishment when it comes to different sins. So, some sins ARE intrinsically more evil than others. Any harm to a child could be considered worse, by most, than an adult suffering the exact same things. The Bible says that he who commits sin willingly, will receive greater stripes, than he who commits sin unknowingly. There is a differentiation. People just don't want to go there, because they don't want to ruffle feathers, and because of the homosexuality issue. The Gospel is 1 Cor 15; 1-4. God bless you all, in Jesus' name. Amen.

There is sin which is deadly; I do not say one is to pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which is not deadly. The bible says that all sin leads to death but not really nuch about if certain sins are worse than others, however, the Jesus does mention the one unforgivable sin in Mark 3:29 which is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I don't believe the matter is so much how each sin is weighted becauae that leads people trying to ride on the lines with the mentality of "my sin isn't that bad." but the fact that all sin leads to eternal separation from God means that we must have full faith and trust in the resurrection of Jesus because He himself says "I am the way, the truth and the life. Nobody can come to the Father except through me" in John 14:6.
