☮️ and 💕 from North Carolina! Safe travels! What ya guys gonna do for Christmas?? I don’t know if Santa hits sailboats or not 🤣😜
😂we love NC have family there. We'll be in Florida for Christmas and santa said not to worry he'll be hitting all the cruisers again this year😀. Thanks for watching ❤️
Caught between stormy seas and Cuba's Border Guard, fortitude required. I imagine the Guardafronteras understood your predicament. Given these conditions you look pretty strong; I don't see a bucket getting passed around? Home port will be a beautiful sight.
It was a pinch, if we had the "sea room" we could have just sailed offcourse a bit, not an option there especially with a strong current. The island was really beautiful up close but very stressful obviously being there. I think the reason didn't come out to pay us a visit is because how rough it was. Luckily we're able to slowly claw our way around the point. By this point in the passage everyone's stomach was cast iron so no bucket passing lol. Thanks for watching frank. ❤️ 😀❤️
Don’t ya love how that German gurl reefs!
You got that right kelly😀 we must have adjusted sail a dozen times that night and never left the cockpit. Hope all is well and your enjoying yourself down there. Already missing Bocas☹️❤️❤️

I just wish a lot of kids who live in drug infested neighborhoods could experience a life experience like this. It would change their lives, especially kids of color..❤
I love it all totally scary risky and adventurous. Grow the children to one thing. As you are all ahead full. Onward 🌈 with you all the way. I truly wish that I could even try again. Anyway I love this so much.

Great episode ! I could watch your finch catching feral boat monkeys all day long! Miss doing that.
Hey Kelly. ❤️😅 yeah the little blonde monkeys are still running around on deck . Stryker was just saying how he misses your pizza. Hope your having a blast on your journey north. Stay in touch. Safe passages. ❤️
nice video, love it
Glad you enjoyed it 😀 thanks for watching. ❤️
Love those gorgeous swallows and how they trust you guys!
It was such a pleasure to have them visit. It seems they were grateful to get some rest. Most stayed on the boat for days eating and drinking the kids started naming them and building a bird house. Thanks for watching ❤️
Feels like I'm there with you all, facing emotions, I can't even explain at the moment! Maybe the next few journeys, I'll get my bearings! Presente'
❤️ I'm honored it had that effect on you. These days had lots of ups and downs and a great bonding experience for our family as a crew. Glad to have you along for the journey. Thanks for watching ❤️
Epic sail underway, dramatic viewing! Great catch on the rod to lift the spirits. Nice of you to extend a hand to those distressed finches... getting along so well. Wonderful visit again from the dolphin friends. But, it's plain that exhaustion is setting in, as conditions worsen. Battling to stay on course! Suspense again for part three, though we know of course that you made it. Love ya.
Lots of ups and downs during this part of the passage. After around 3-4 day of being at sea is when usually we all settle in to the routine and coping with adversity is easier to deal with.. Tricky weather and some extreme conditions can be uncomfortable at the time but I feel it really made us stronger as a crew. A tough passage but great learning experience. Thank you Frank for following us along I feel like your a land based crew member. 😀 ❤️
@@motherloadsailing 😊 ❤
50' mono with 5 boys. God bless you child.
😂 lol. It's always an "adventure" onboard. Thanks for watching ❤️
What an insane and unique experience!! Question- what’s the most challenging part of it all? 🧐
Thanks slotvides 😀. It's always an adventure exploring the oceans but sharing the experience with our boys really makes it worth it. It obviously can get crazy at times with 5 energetic boys on a small boat but we manage the chaos. When it comes down to it everyone comes together as a team and pulls together. I would have to say the hardest part about it is actually just dealing with messes and getting the kids to pick up after themselves not the sailing or the compromises of living on a boat. Thanks for watching ❤️
@@motherloadsailing I have 4 brothers so I feel your pain! 3 tips from a son would be… 1. Allowance/reward 2. Nothing helps! 3. Delegate to each child’s strengths and likes 👍🏻 Maybe it’ll be like the country songs say though… you’re gonna miss this! 😉

Your are giving your kids more love and attention and real world knowledge than any government institution can. I envy you guys ❤
The privilege to explore and experience culture first hand has been amazing. U feel like as adults were learning just as much first hand. Thank you for following 😀 ❤️
@ absolutely! It’s ironic that my mum worked for an old lady when I was a teenager. And during the summer holiday my little brother (rip) and I would pick her up. And that old lady would know so much about everything. And I asked her as 15-16 year old: “you must have traveled a lot”. She was obviously sad and my mum threw me one of those “mum looks”. She said: “I worked my whole life saving every penny. 4 months before I retired I got crippling rheumatism, not being able to move a lot. So I travel be reading all those books. I want you boys to live now and not postpone it till later on.” Here I am at 51 battling a nasty auto immune disorder that keeps my from traveling-or even work a lot, which as a freelancer is quite challenging. But luckily I and my little brother before he passed did live and explore a lot of the world. I hope that at some point my immune system will settle down again and that I can travel. Or perhaps even sell all my belongings but a small camper and explore our great Europe-which I ironically didn’t see that much of yet, except of pretty much every major airport when I worked for KLM-Cargo as a subcontractor 🤣
Cool channel. Subscribed and gave a like.😄

You just showed up in my feed. I subbed because what you are doing as a family is interesting. the best education the boys will ever receive and one they will never forget! Bravo! Looking forward to more of your travels. God bless.
Thank you JohnJames for the kind regards😀. It's definetly a bit different of a curriculum and they love it. Appreciate you for tuning in ❤️
This is better than being in a classroom reading from books, you get to experience it.
😀Yes, learning by doing is much more rewarding. Thanks for watching! ❤️
This is a learning experience, where the whole family get*s a learning experience, meet people, different countries, etc.
Exactly right Enrique😀. Thanks for tuning in❤️
I am curious, why did you call your boat MOTHERLOAD? It is unusual
We are a family of 7.(quite a Load) with Five boys onboard a relatively small boat sometimes refered to as the (Mothership). The ship when at sea looks after us like a Mother. Thanks for watching❤️😀
That's cool. Teach everybody how to survive on the sailboat.
Yes its a bit unconventional but our kids love it😀. It can toughen you up at times. Thanks for watching❤️
thx video
Thank you for watching 😀⛵️
The weather could have been kinder on your big sea crossing! Big test of skill and endurance. Glad that your young seamen seem to be staying well, despite the rocking and rolling. The whale encounter was terrific, just hope he stays behind you. Nice of Finchy to stop by, a good fella. Big suspense for part two!
Yes Frank the weather was testing but it could always be worse and it's a tricky time of year. I think as a crew we all are better from it. Wildlife encounters always are morale booster. There's a cool backstory to the finches in the next episode. As always appreciate you following our journey Frank. ❤️😀❤️
