Leonidas Kavakos - Ysaye Solo Violin Sonata No. 5 (dance roustique)

young Leonidas Kavakos, encore
wow gives me chills multiple times
Mtfckr no words, hats off
Kind of scary how he can be soo fast and still play so perfectly
❤
Bruh he shaved off like 2 minutes. Hilary’s recording is like 5 minutes and 30 secs.
Monstrous
Intonation is stunning, all the double stops and chords are completely together, the tone, the confidence, and the maniacal speed… this guy is on another level
as en Encore!!!!!.... was he playing the Sibelius concerto before?
No, there was Brahms in this concerto
@@10Ronaldinho80best can u tell me where to find that performance
Amazing beauty.
I come from Hilary´s one. This feels full of rage haha how is it so good
Inesquecível Izai!!!Fantástica apresentação!!!Parabéns mestre!!!
Bravo Leônidas!!!Inesquecível Ysaye.........Super bem!!!Parabéns mestre!!!
Кавакос самый лучший скрипач нашего времени. Ему нет равных.
Performance at the ancient theater of Herod Atticus.
Totally incoherent.

Bravo! Amazing! Brilliant
Fantastic, amazing, Bravo Leonidas Kavakos, great Violinist!
Just leaving this here: 2:45
wish I could find sheet music. Not easy to play
He plays so I sanely fast, you'd think it would sound horrible this fast. But this actually sounds so incredibly good
Plays this like the absolute Chad of the violin he is.
lol
Chadvakos
where was this filmed
Somewhere in Greece, the beginning was written in Greek
It must be in the Odeon of Herodes Atticus
Unable to finish working with Kavakos playing this work. Just staring at the screen in wonder.
Most astonishing performance!

Оо интонация!! Идеально чисто
Really amazing!!! More than a virtuose, one of the greatest all of time!! Really!
...Светлая память...Леонид Борисович Коган...
Even with such terrible audio quality, HOLY SHIT. Does this beat Michael Rabin's Ysaye? Umm, my opinion is YES. Leonidas is becoming one of my favorite player's players. Amazing.
Except for the very end.... a little intonation.... but I forgive him because his bow arm is prototypically the one you want to mold all others after.
carmignola's baroque bowing is more musical, this guy is trying to break the strings
I have been binge-watching Kavakos for a while now and he is astonishing!
Great performance 👍♥️🙏🏼
Splendido.
best violinist
effortless marriage of musicality and technique. wow, just wow.
does anyone know why he died so young? there seems no record.
I know right?
Приступ сердечный
Merci beaucoup !
amazing!
His bow arm looks different here
Yep, he said he changed it to his current one when he was studying with Gingold. But even here his grip isn't quite the typical Franco-Belgian and his bowing angle is very consistent already so I guess it wasn't a big change from his old grip to his current one. EDIT: From 2:19 onward you can see what I mean. Franco-Belgian never goes like this. His old grip here kind of reminds me of late Kogan but lower (closer to the frog) than Kogan's. Looks a bit like Ricci's too.
Fantastic!!!
One dislike - IDIOT!
4 dislikes :/
This is good man!
Make me drop some tears XD
What's with the echo?
great piece...great soloist!!!
The technique is insane indeed, but ininteresting music, as far as I am concerned.
я так не могу)))))...
It gives me the impression, his playing, that he's calling on something that is very far away from him... an anxious plead. Simply put: great!
@lednibrusle parce qu'il peut! ;)
Just amazig, isn,t it?You can,t find this color of violin voice ever and listen never.
