One of the relatively last sign offs done by any Puerto Rico TV station before going into a 24/7 format. Taken from the 2000's with anthem images from the 1970's and '80s. After said sign off they would go to a "weather loop" until the morning sign up or about 5.5 hours.

I don't believe at the time any TV station in Puerto Rico, much less Univisión, had the budget to put a "mini CeeFax" / teletext service for the overnight hours. Univisión did had at the time an AM news station of their own to put the sound of, WKAQ 580 AM (they do put it on a certain Liberty Cable TV channel that only broadcast the program guide), but at the overnight hours (like in 2022) they rerun their talk shows from the day, which is kinda boring to listen unless you didn't before in the day...

While here in the US now and this day in age we would put a mini ceefax teletech (news/sports/weather/stocks and entertainment) service here during off hours with background music coming from like, 95.9 or 99.1 FM

@@RobertPaniagua - we're talking about OVER 10 YEARS AGO when that video was taped. And besides, nowadays the only ones ever interested to put a teletext system as a background are the Cable TV systems (and those have been declining in popularity lately) , as Infomercials seem to pay more (at least what it cost to sustain broadcast between midnight and the early morning).

It's the written in the 1950's by Braulio Dueño Colón version of LA BORINQUEÑA, the official "State" Anthem of Puerto Rico. The original one, written by Lola Rodríguez de Tió in the 1890's had the same music, but had ideological revolutionary lyrics as it was against the Spanish rule on the Island back then.

The first version of La Borinqueña had lyrics which the authorities considered subversive. They made other lyrics which are still in use.

When that video was broadcasted originally it was outdated by about 20 years (the anthem was probably taped even earlier in the 1970's).

@@luisosoriothelionelmessian9845 - nope. Univisión tiene a UniMás en el canal 11-2 de la Tele11 (la afiliada independiente de Univisión) de Lieberman TV. TeleIsla aún en 2022 no ha sido vendida por Univisión y mayormente pasan Infomerciales y algún que otro programa.

@@RobertPaniagua - WKAQ-580 AM (News Talk station owned by Univisión since '05 that will turn 100 in 12/03/22) does fit that very description. But the poster was talking about playing music. At that late night hour 580 repeats their daytime programs, so that couldn't been appropriate either (just laughing at that weather image with a broadcast of far-leftist, now retired, Luis Francisco Ojeda's 3pm AST show, which could be shown on that very second as one of the "reruns"). We in PR don't have full-time affiliates to any Stateside live news or sports network.
