I'm beging my with repair hobby and got a nice but fake tag grand Carrara. See the balance through the front. I can't get the movement out. It larger than the one in your video here, no plastic ring. Is there a trick to spin or a button or some kind of alignment while spinning? It does seem to fall out even a little, but spins a few degrees and stops.

I also have similar one same markings CCCP Malina.😅

Hi. I still have my original Seiko from the early seventies that has a 66A movement. Would you know what the lift angle is so I can put it on the timegrapher. I hope to service it myself one day after some practice. Cheers

Nice job, but if there was that much condensation on the crystal, there's gonna be some on the movement. I would suggest leaving the watch out of the case for a few hours so the movement can dry.. or at least leave the back off for a few hours.

I just bought a very similar one for restauration. How did you fit back the center wheel? With all that effort, your watch seems to still run poorely. How it performs on timegrapher?

Hello, how can I get in touch for an old Orient watch restoration?

I have a vintage certina watch and bought screwdrivers but they were too big for the screws. Those screws are seriously tiny lol. What screwdrivers do you use?

Nice job, but what about the main spring, the balance and the hairspring ? No images, no informations about what you had to do to clean them… No test with a TimeGrapher, too. And a screw that can't be put in place cause of solidified dirt just means the cleaning has not been thoroughly done. This video is just a survey of a cosmetic work, but not a real tutorial about a full restoration. Hope you'll post a better video next time !
