Yea come on back home to wickla lads....., always great rows out side the forge at Christmas 🎄 oooo and the pinito. Always a guaranteed unconscious zombie on the footpath. I miss Wicklow.
Ah That's lovely Willi, Here in Auckland NZ trying to keep cool with aircon on but miss the cool Christmas nights in Wicklow, the nice sparkley lights and great pubs. We lived with our granny Betty Sweeney across from the old gaol and then moved down to the Murrough when I was about 5 or 6 I'd say. Where was that market held with the fair?
Thanks Esther, The Market was held in The Abbey Grounds opposite the Forge pub and Grand Hotel. The grounds were opened up some years ago by our current PP Fr, Donal Roche. They are used extensively now for public events and The Food Festivla in July is a big success. Happy Christmas to you and family!
@@WillieByrne Thanks Willie, I did view it a few times and thought I saw the Abbey grounds, great memories of having some of my Wedding photos there in 1990. When Cannon Crinon was there he used to let us in to give the horse or horses choc ices. My parents-in-law live on St. Patricks avenue just up the road.
Makes me sad 😢
