the fact the game is playable at all in 2024 is a miracle. if true that sucks also

Annoying is what lol... no clue this time I restarted steam to eliminate that as an option. Going to verify Deadside game files in steam now. hopefully next time I play it will not happen. did I mention Annoying

to be honest. I haven't fully read the full WIP yet, just glanced over it. But yeah only reliance on random spawn and Beacon/Sleeping Bag spawns is what I gathered.

yeah the boats don't stick around. You have 30 minutes to leave them alone before they'll despawn. Only use for the lock is maybe to ferry items to safe zone to sell. In PvE boats are still susceptible to gun shots, so players can blow up boats still.

@@conniee. if you have locked boat players can not see inside or even move the boat without the code. (but they can still just shoot it if they're full of hate/spite) typically boats don't spawn in for players already in a boat. So if you find an air boat and actually want a faster little boat only way to find another boat is for another player to cause it to spawn in or I've parked at one dock then ran to another spawn for it to cause it to spawn in.

@@jsgigax.twitchvod - Is that a spawn point at the Southern trader? 🤔I don't know of any other place to get a boat that's close to me between the Northern Lighthouse and the Southern Trader. I've never been to the Southern Lighthouse so I don't know if there's one there.🤷🏽‍♀

there's quite a few between light house and safe zone. not sure closer to town but I think there's one by the docks. They may have actually added more in last update.

yes they can, sometimes I've made 'traps' for the AI as well

@@jsgigax.twitchvod - Uh-oh, no ladders going up into ur base then, you just have to jump up to climb in through ur doors or climb up on first levels.🧐 I've seen them trying to jump up but they can't get up there, which I'm glad of. 😉😆👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I like when they try to shoot me through my walls with their arms sticking through the walls, I shoot their arms and they die, their arm left hanging through the wall, and then I can loot them without going out of the base.😆👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

for getting around inside buildings at night, I find the lighter is much more beneficial

Mostly as defense against the convoy ;) I typically don't finish bases. However, since I'm focusing on the one server this one will probably get more attention.

Btw, I've started a base but how do you raise and lower the floor tiles? 🤔 I also put down a small chest outside my base, but the game won't let me put down another one.😣 How do you raise and lower scaffolds? I forgot about that when I put up my scaffolding and didn't put in a floor. I put a ladder to go up to the next level but it won't let me put in the flooring.😖 I may have to dismantle everything and start over.😫

@@conniee. sorry for lat response... to raise/lower the pieces there is a legend when placing an item on top left hand side telling you how to raise/lower. to remove a ladder or deck you can't have anything above. it's hard to explain, but once you know you know. you can freely place ladders and deck smalls on lower level of large scaffolds.

not a fan, but with the changes to stack amounts I can tough it out with just a assault for a while. Since I'm focusing on the 100 stash achievement I'm staying on one server until I actually complete it. The server I'm on is the most active North American PvE server which should cause me to get through it fairly quickly.

@@jsgigax.twitchvod - Nice to have a Ranger Finder, but it would be nice if the darn things would give some kinda indication of where to look for the stash boxes instead of having to willy-nilly look around for the stashes which is so boring.🤔😒😮‍💨 I see why you posted the time stamps of the stashes below.😆👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yeah that was my experience as well. On the second day I think I got a single square upgraded all the way. They were wiping so frequently with that first weekend alpha test that on the second day I got 2 fresh starts. I'm gonna wait till they bring PvE mode before I try again.

@@jsgigax.twitchvod - Yes definitely, PVE is the way to go. 😊 My last 2 of the 4 attempts at playing this, I got attacked by fellow ducks and died.🤔🤨😮‍💨😠💀 I bought Deadside and only play on PVE servers.😉😊👍🏼

You can purchase the backpack from the traders which are at either safe zone (there are two traders at each safe zone selling/buying different items). You can also find them in world but it's a rare occurrence. The way point is set by holding shift while left click.

In general servers only wipe when there's an update that calls for such. When the servers wipe it's usually a mad dash to rebuild. Probably the next time that happens I'll probably make a game out of where I put my bases. In the past I've done the same, basically I'll go to the first Air Drop and place land claim somewhere close by.

@@conniee. actually where they drop are usually fair game close by to build. and regular loot is never a bad thing

@@jsgigax.twitchvod - Regular good loot indeed. 😀👍🏼The thing is though they only let you put down 3 bedrolls now, so you really have to make sure you pick them up after a mission. You'll have one for ur base and 2 left to put down for missions... I guess they don't want players putting bases all over the map.🤔😬 I liked the idea of having a base in the North, the South, and anywhere else you wanted one, but they don't see it that way, oh well. 🤔😮‍💨

this was on steam, it is an emulator that the open source community has been working on, if you had a license for the game you can play the emulated version. www.h1emu.com is the emulator. they got all the building, raiding and PvP aspects working first. zombies have yet to be 'animated'

I had upwards of 7k hours in game, so basically nostalgia

It's the lag when in boats. I've experienced this a little, but never that bad. Though I generally have a good ping with the servers I play on.

I'm a bit of a masochist also, I wanted to test as thoroughly as possible, while it was on the test server to give as much information as possible to the developers.

The 'jankness' is kinda nice sometimes. Different kind of skill working around jank controls LOL

It is pretty difficult until you figure out to avoid being seen by the AI. Once you figure out the AI it is pretty enjoyable to play.

It takes a little time to figure this game out, but it is fun and way easier than DAYZ

It's the difficulty of this game that keeps me playing. You can't just run into every mission like Rambo, standing in the open with guns blazing. You need to plan from where you will approach, based on AI placement and available cover. When engaging the AI you need to shoot from behind cover and not stand for too long exposed. In particular heli-crashes. If you try to take on those AI away from cover they will delete you in no time.

One of the fish is in the cave F9 on map in a very little cave pond. 'Electric Fish'

not sure as I have only 46 hours in DAYZ and over 5k hours in Deadside. I do know Deadside doesn't have zombies only human AI.

thanks for that suggestion. I am trying my best to jot down when something happens and do that going forward. however I play/stream gameplay a lot and my game play isn't always interesting. apologies for that

That was on the Public Test Server prior to the wipe. I have this location on multiple servers now.
