A what if scenario, Piccolo fused with Kami before heading to Namek, as poetic as it was for Super Saiyan to defeat Frieza, It would've also been really great to see Earth's Kami/Guardian returning to his home planet, the nameless Namekian, to save his people from their oppressor

I just discoved (by myself) that Shunsuke Kikuchi based the *original* Piccolo's theme on Nino Rota's “Il Casanova” theme from the Fellini's movie “Il Casanova”... Amazing. “Dragon Ball” is one of my best childhood memories.

Piccolos theme song is epic

Ngl, this actually hits different.. and character wise, him and vegeta have some of the most amazing character arks I've ver seen in anime... they overshadow the great Goku/Kakorot. IMHO. I actually shed tears when they died back in the day. It wasn't on some goofy shit.. their deaths held actual weight when it happened... every time. The first time Pic died, I was like-.... God damn.. Gohan, you better get with the program. And Geets died, I was like "God damn, goku, you better do this shit, this is it!'... Anyway, the theme songs have something behind them. It's a beautiful thing. Great composition.

Dear Friends and Partners, We are deeply saddened to inform you that Manga creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to acute subdural hematoma. He was in age of 68. It's our deep regret that he still had several works in the middle of creation with great enthusiasm. Also, he would have many more things to achieve. However, he has left many manga titles and works of art to this world. Thanks to the support of so many people around the world, he has been able to continue his creative activities for over 45 years. We hope that Akira Toriyama's unique world of creation continues to be loved by everyone for a long time to come. We inform you this sad news, with gratefulness for your kindness during his lifetime. Funeral service was held with his family and very few relatives. Following his wishes for tranquility, we respectfully inform you that we would not accept flowers, condolences gifts, visiting, offerings and others. Also, we ask you to refrain from conducting interviews with his family. Future plan for commemorate gathering is not decided, we will let you know when it's confirmed.
