I have used very cheep rods and have not ever broken one on the cast, although I am a average caster and not professional, I catch fish on cheep rods and that’s fine for me I have just purchased the sonic sports 14ft and look forward to using it after watching your review, as you said even expensive rods can brake, I cannot afford expensive rods, but have invested in better reels and use a penn tidal fixed reel. Again thank you for your balanced review, but it helps to keep me catching some fish then I will be happy

:))))) Very good rod! I'll get one if I still can find it. The fact you held it in the middle made it fail sooner. Lads, needless to say, always hold rods from handle, the tension need to be spread across the entire length of the rod.

I spotted it on eBay and then found your review amongst some others - all positive. I was going to buy the two Shakespeare Agility rods, but they have progressed to the Agility 2 and now only the Salt is available at over £100 each. The Bison rods at around £50 each? Come on guys, it's a no brainer! I prefer my reels higher up, so I hope that spigot joint isn't an issue. SOLD! to that man. Thanks amigo

Don’t own this rod but had a few casts of my friends rods and thought it was pretty good . Around the £100 mark there is a lot of competition but this would definitely be an option

Ive got one of these and a 6 part rod by Akios! The latter has a shrink wrap handle, top quality guides and a much better finish - it does cost over £150 though! I find the ease of transporting this type of rods a real advantage, taking them on a train is no problem at all!

For the dropper loop ....yes....but then to snip it to make it a single line to the hook I have always found that they pull out very easily. Maybe good if you are fishing for guppies.
