The way he says his S's is infuriating when coupled with 1) his 'tardation and 2) his high pitched nasally voice. Phil's rank 18 game Still Water Deep have a very clear and conclusive ending where the main character commits sudoku after all his co-workers have died to the monsters and so he throws a lighter into the pit where the energy the monsters are being created by is coming from that's full of gas and crude oil from the drilling on the oil rig, in the hopes of killing the evil energy. Main character then wakes up, in what we can only assume is the afterlife, and that's the ending scene. The only way you can find it to be non-conclusive is if you're looking for shit that ain't there.

There's a term that Romans used called Gravitas. It's where you've EARNED your status, and therefore the respect, and rewards of that status. The Emperor names their heir, as a 10yr old, who he then sends out to the front to command the legions. TECHNICALLY he is in charge of everyone on the battlefield, but he has ZERO gravitas, so his commands and instructions are ignored.

An analogy: we all know shows where an actor was almost cast in a role, or was recast, right? Offhand, the guy who played Face in the pilot of the A-Team was recast because the network didn't like him for the role. As such, the part of Face is changed. It could have been a different vibe, but that's a hypothetical, because Dirk Benedict was cast, and is Face. How is this relevant to Phil? Games don't play themselves. Games require humans to use their judgement, reactions etc to control the player in the game, and progress to the end. Every human will do that differently, because we're all unique, and there's a million little things that add up to who we are, and how we view the world. Phil wants to to praised, and have money thrown at him for doing less than the bare minimum. It's NOT the game that's at fault, it's the fact that he doesn't add ANY value to his playthroughs, where EVERYONE else does. Instead, he SUBTRACTS value from it, as he doesn't pay attention to the story, has no empathy for the characters or their plights, or the stakes, zero attention to the tutorial parts where it teaches you the mechanics.....and that's not even counting the excessive, repetitive , meandering rants, and begs, and the board meetings. ALL of that subtracts from the entertainment that comes from someone playing that game. The one thing he REALLY needs to fix, is the one thing he'll go to his grave, completely oblivious to; he needs a personality transplant.

Some products just don't need to come with instructions, because the people who are buying them, know how to use them. I've owned a TON of guitars, and NOT ONCE have I ever got an instruction manual with it.
