Wow, the hut looks awesome! I assume it's on the "backside" of the Chugach? Anyone actually ski out of there yet? My friends and I built a hut on the Copper River looking at 8010....all logs flown in and set with a heli, good times!

A hut? Looks more like a palace! Balloon/conventional framing is still the best bang for the buck, it helped settle the West, as compared to log construction. I once expounded on this while doing crane work on a log structure going up on an Indian Rez on a lunch break, and only after I said it realized I was the only non native guy there, oops! We all started laughing at the same time....
