Why are you telling people to create content around user's questions, rather than creating content in THEIR EXPERTISE.
Because that’s a friggin no brainer and goes without saying. Can you imagine people making content without any knowledge of the content? Or maybe we should say “ignore people’s questions and only do what you know”?
@@growwithgrouphugs Um, yes? The very reason that you now need GEO is because the previous generation websites abused TF out of the old system google had in place to measure websites' importance. And now you're suggesting people to do that again. But I guess you're in denial because the very concept of organic-ness threatens your livelihood of being in advertising.

Who remembers when everyone got mad at Google for presenting answers to questions it found in the web rather than directing users to websites? Some of this feels like a rebranded version of that.

Careful you wrote that comment on a google server hahahaha 🥸 google will HAVE to incentivize people or they won’t make helpful sites for them to scrape. Just like how they pay 55% of ad revenue to partners in their partner and that’s in part why TH-cam is so successful!

Don’t rely on AI bc that type of content will be ubiquitous soon - real human content will stand out among the sea of content - especially with your unique perspective
experience and branding will be more important than never, luxury , customisation at scale will become more important and valuable.

This is bad. They're trying to keep all search results within their ecosystem. This is will make a horrible impact on diversity of choice in the market. That might be good if it drives all of us away from these damn screen parasites into making and selling more stuff locally.
Ultimately it’s in googles best interest to take care of its creators on google as it has TH-cam, so we hope for the best! But TH-cam might just be the future google, especially with so much AI content coming

I think your correct on the only real 'human' connection will be video. The AI text and images are already flooding the web, as well as video, and it's only going to grow, fast. Putting out real content moving forward is almost going to have to include real videos, so people know it's real. My concern is people using AI to copy "my likeness" and videos. Looking for solutions for that now!
Top TH-cam creators have asked TH-cam to help address these concerns, and they’ve said they’d help. For instance, Mr. beast has already had kid likeness maliciously copied, but new tech presents new problems and can give us new solutions too.

Did you sign up for "Google Workspace Labs" with your Google account? SGE won't automatically appear, you'll have to go to Workspace Labs and sign up (for free) to enable it. Hope this helps! :)

In our opinion, yes! TH-cam videos for our clients have seen increased views via Google at an exponentially growing rate even with the Google HCU update
What will happen to evergreen niches ? That don’t have much novelty to it ? Like animal blogs , recipes blogs etc
Commodity content, evergreen or not, will be treated like and valued like a commodity. One of our favorite questions to ask when ideating a video is “what’s unique about this video?” ☺️🤘🏼

Yes, your content has to be valuable regardless of SEO or GEO. I have hundreds of blog posts written using surgegraph + my own expertise + gemini and they're doing well.

Hey Carrie, great content. I understand and absolutely agree how all of this would affect most larger brands and businesses. However, I can't imagine how these changes would SIGNIFICANTLY impact businesses that operate purely local (plumber in Houston, window cleaner in Denver, etc.). How do you think SGE will affect this market?
It won't too much. Possibly will give you a list of businesses which are best rated on maps or that they are close to you.
It might!! People can still look up local businesses and SGE can generate responses. It’s always best to keep your Google business page fully updated and optimized!
There is such a controversy on whether AI detectors even work. One channel reported that even the US Constitution was tagged as completely written by AI. So not everyone agrees that Google cares or can detect it. I've also heard multiple channels say that Google does not care if it is AI written so long as it is not regurgitated information. I know you said that at some point in your video, but there was a bit of back and forth, and thought I would mention. Even in their documentation they say they don't care just as long as it is valuable content. That's of course, at this time. But that could always change, like you seem to be saying.
