1. Changing printer settings can cause ribbon snapping, so revert to default settings to prevent it.
2. If taping the broken ribbon isn't solving the issue, follow these steps:
- Access the Control Panel and select "View devices and printers."
- Locate your XPS card printer and access printer properties.
- Check the printer status for the unique IP address to access the printer dashboard.
- Log in with your personal details, ensuring to keep them safe.
- Click the burger icon on the left side and go to Settings under Configurations.
- Scroll down to "YMC Power Duplex" for colour ribbon printing.
- Adjust the intensity of the Y, M, and C ribbon panels: Increase for more colour intensity, decrease to prevent ribbon breaks (recommended value: -39).
- For monochrome ribbon, ensure that all values under "Kpower" are set to 0 to prevent ribbon snapping.
