    That’s what you get for giving business to the manufacturer of the Chinese disease. They give you a deadly virus 🦠 then sell you a casket to add insult to injury.

    If you have to pay someone to inspect caskets in the factory because you do not trust them, why buy from them in the first place? Either the Chinese factory knows how to make them and cares enough to be reputable to ensure quality or they are not trustworthy and neither are the American funeral homes that peddle them. Would you trust your loved one to a funeral home that knowingly buys caskets from this factory? There is only one reason you buy caskets from China: Cost over family.

    I've given alot of thought to how I want to be put to rest. I want a huge party, with a gigantic bonfire. I want to be pushed through a high grade wood chipper that can handle two foot wide trees. Just let 'er rip! No pushing necessary, believe me, it will pull my dead ass straight through into that raging bonfire! I'll be completely fire roasted, every little bit! Then, feed some tree limbs through it to absorb any of my spillage from shredding my remains like paper! Then a good high pressure hosing and it's finished! No fuss or bullshit! Everybody's happy! I'm happy and that's that! Screw a cemetery, memorial markers, etc! I've visited far too many cemeteries that were poorly maintained or 80% of the graves were no longer visited by their families! What's the point of such idiocracy? It's hypocritical, my opinion. It's nothing but another ponzi scheme for these places! They default at some point and abandoned the property! Mausoleums especially! They take a shitload of money & runaway with it, in the long run. There's no guarantees! Unless it's a church that's not going to fold anytime soon. Just rent a woodchipper for me! 😉😍😷

    Rather than have the whole lid replaced. Just have them lower the price! I can respect the black walnut, craftsmanship, etc? But it's gonna get messed up where it's going! Whether in the ground with a liner & a vault or above ground in a mausoleum...it's gonna get messed up! Especially when the deceased is embalmed! All that pretty, soft white interior lining is going to be trashed with decomposition & toxic fluids! I know because I've exhumed many of these caskets! I will say the solid wood casket endures much more moisture than any metal- lined contemporary! The metal seperates & corrodes quite rapidly! I'd highly recommend a thick hardwood casket with a casket liner and placed within a concrete vault for rain distribution. They stay very well preserved with that extra sealed liner. It has a gas pressure valve release system which doesn't allow for any moisture to leak in. It's pushed out with moisture & gas build up from decomp. A decent embalmed body can last for as long as the seals hold up. You'd be surprised how well preserved a body can appear after 40-50 yrs! Almost as if they were buried in the last year! The interior linen, lace linings & clothing are badly stained, but eveything else is prestine, if it's all done correctly.

    If the customer, in my retail experience notices scratches, as in the lower corner, give 'em 10% off and call it good. In 10 years it will be as rotten as it's content. Give me the oven or a wicker basket in and open forest when I go.

    An education wakeup call. If a funeral home sells a casket or you purchase one online for the prices you make certain it is up to the price they are asking. I would hate to imagine part of the handle breaking off during movement from place to place. I do care about scratches, lost finish, indentations, fillers etc. Many are right in that once you are laid to rest, it is forgotten....except for the families who would like to know they carried out the deceased wishes. Im not perfect but im not far from it. If you are going to pay for a high end casket you better look for the fine details, otherwise you will be spending for a substandard item, esp. Since many companies overseas make in mass numbers but less quality.

    • @intotheabyssoftheunknown4479
      @intotheabyssoftheunknown4479 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sheet metal caskets aren't worth a damn, fir what they charge! Whether they're spit welded, rivited or bolted...they collapse & corrode quite rapidly. They fare much better in a casket liner, but they still come apart at the seams! All that impressive ornate junk and handles start falling off. I've exhumed some expensive end metal caskets that were 4 or 5 yrs old but we're completely collapsed on the body when unearthed. Very few have ever impressed me! They're just as costly if not more than a hardwood box! If your loved ones knew? They'd likely try to avoid that possibility? What's the whole point if they expect it to be reliable for the prices they charge? It's high priced expensive junk! You're better off making it yourself and save about 10-15 thousand! 😱😷
