My first mission on American Truck Simulator is an A-train mission and I have to backup so I can sleep at a rest stop brought me here!
I just found out I just detach the trailers and then park bobtail... smh
Actually on a mission where I have to backup a- train doubles in a construction site not letting the game do it for me…. This is one of the hardest maneuvers! 😮
9:05 So how do you make a 90 deg turn in reverse? 😅 Is there a minimum radius you can make in reverse? (Probably!)
brilliant video, thanks for sharing, so few quality instructionals on this subject
@@mattp6688 thanks
great video. about to go test on american truck simulator lol
Good luck, I couldn’t get it to work on ATS. I tried long doubles, short doubles, couldn’t get it to go more than about 30 feet. Something in the coding isn’t right. Idk?
@@TruckingFool that’s good to here because I couldn’t get it work either🤣 🤣
I'm Australian I've driven Road Trains for a little over 25 years in Australia we pull up to four trailers on public roads and we pull up to 8 trailers on some public roads but mostly on private mining roads anywhere from 26 metres long up 61 metres long on public roads if you think reversing 2 trailers is hard come to Australia were you have to reverse 3 sometimes 4 trailer's
@@The_Aussie_Truckie ummm. Ok
Post the video of you backing up 4 trailers on your channel.
thank you all other vids dont explain it like u did doing A train for estes orientation starts monday
😮
Fantastic
I disagree! As far as a regular semi, I prefer a long tractor with a long trailer! What I hate the most is a short tractor and a short trailer. Second, I hate a long truck with a short trailer. Third, I hate short tractors, period, and short trailers, period, regardless of the combination! I'm not experienced with any doubles or triples, so I can't speakon anything regarding it! However, if I were to drive one, I'd prefer a B-train! It just appears to make more sense, and appears to be so much more controllable, whether going forward or backwards!
You can hardly back up a A train, a good try, but no worries i havent met or seen anyone be able to do it...to many pivot points...but you do have a great explanation...
This is the best instructional video, the rest are “watch me back up” without any narrative at all.
Thanks ❤
Also do you believe in playing with toy trucks can help you understand the movement of the trailers in real life?
Definitely
@@TruckingFool okay, does the size of the toy truck matters or is it all relative?
Where did you get the toy truck from
A guy I worked with many years ago, made it for me.
Most guys here in Michigan have a dolly lock
I’ve seen some guys here weld up some eyes and drop a pin in it, to lock the turntable, but it only works when they’re empty. Wouldn’t hold up loaded.
😊..thanks
best video for this topic, great info
Thanks
Nice cam ❤❤
Dang your rly good
..Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe
Great timing..I'm taking a class A cdl class right now and backing is going to take a lot of practice to pass DOT lol.
Driving genius!
Nah… just old, translates to more experience
👌😎 smooth af driver
And ba good driver should be able to Do this
Yeah, any driver really. You just have to walk back and set the camera down at the end of the parking spot
Woooo awesome video! One thing that helped me out a lot was practicing at an angle, that way you can see more and how the dolly reacts and moves. Try that with lead pup and dolly then with both pups. Wooooo this is awesome! I will be uploading more videos as I can! Oh the less turning the better, Shorty's react fast, so if you're wide open by the time you straighten you're jacked knife the opposite way 🤣. No more than 40° at most and straighten out ASAP. Wooooooo spread the knowledge! Be a trucker and not a steering wheel holder!
