THE ANNUAL 2024 SHIRONO MEGACOLLAB!!!
"Fallen//A Little Faith" works similarly to the last megacollab, "Fallen//Totality". This is also a sequel, so...
(Please also note that this is also a tournament and not everyone will "win" or get a place in the song.)
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
- Make a part 2-3 minutes long, any key, bpm, VERY LIMITED LOOPERMAN USAGE, etc.
- If you are considered a very highly controversial figure, your part is immediately disqualified, no matter how good it is. (assuming you weren't already banned from the server)
- If your part is based around a very highly controversial figure, your part is also immediately disqualified.
- You are allowed to make parts based on non-dave and bambi characters, but please know that changes might be made to the character to fit with the hidden story within the megacollab. I will also be limiting this to only **1-3** self-insert or non-vdab character parts allowed.
- Spam is allowed, but please make it bearable.
- You **must** provide an FLP or other DAW file. If you have trial or your DAW doesn't allow you to save for whatever reason, please tell me in your submission so I can ignore this rule for you.
- You **must** provide a vocal and instrumental file along with your submission, along with the bpm and key. (If you SOMEHOW forgot, use this: tunebat.com/Analyzer)
- Please also note that your part will be uploaded to streaming services (Spotify, TH-cam Music, etc). You will receive 100% of the credit however.
- Please don't have bad mixing or offkey vocals/instruments :frowning2:
- Provide art of your character. I suggest that the art you send has the character separated from a background.
OPTIONAL/RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Key changes, chord progression changes, etc are encouraged. I fw songs that do that heavy (:pleading_face:).
- BPM changes are not as encouraged, I'm kinda iffy about those, but if you do them right then cool :thumbsup:
- Time signature changes are sick as fuck too.
- Genre changes are weird, which in of itself is awesome. Feel free to do those.
HOW QUALIFICATIONS/DISQUALIFICATIONS WORK:
A "qualification" means your part stands out from the rest, and I see it as more than capable to be in the video/song.
*This does not mean you won however, around TEN or more winners will be selected. Being qualified just means you have a chance against the other submitters.*
A "disqualification" can happen for many reasons. Such as not following guidelines, poor mixing, offkey vocals or instruments, the character isn't a good idea to put in the video, or the part just wasn't that interesting... The last part doesn't tend to happen like at all, but it can still happen.
**If you get disqualified, you are still more than allowed to fix your part, resubmit a new part, or ask for critique from me or other musicians. Being disqualified doesn't always mean you're cooked lol**

However, there are rules **specifically tailored** for this megacollab. Think of these as "modifiers".
This years modifier is... that this is a DUO TOURNAMENT!!! That's right... DUOS!!!
To submit a song, 2 people must have worked on it. How the work is distributed between the two is decided by *you*.
No more than 2 people can work on the part, you can choose to "Team" with other participants however if you'd like more people in your team. (For example, if you had the idea to do a part on a specific character and someone else had the same idea, you can team with each other to make it turn out as you all like.)
Your part should also have a segment with the **Neil Motif**. The reason why is related to a secret part that may or may not be at the end of the song. :eyes:
You can choose to fuck w the motif however you'd like, change the key, chords, bpm, whatever you'd like to make it fit with your submission.
