Bowmanville Valley is OG for us Ontario boys😎
I only recommend VESC based boards for safety. A Onewheel board does not warn you or let you set warnings or have any duty cycle warning to keep you safe. They also do not allow you to configure tilt back thresholds or any settings for that matter (like leveling your board for your custom rails). As a previous GTS and GT onewheel rider converted VESC GT-V and Floatwheel rider, please continue your research by riding other boards other than patented Onewheel.
Did you watch my video all the way through..? I daily a complete custom VESC with a Thor300 and have a TON of experience with other boards. I personally know someone who had a Floatwheel blow the controller at 33km/h and dump him on the concrete, whereas my gf's GT has never dumped her, has haptic buzz and is the most reliable board we own. I also have around 800km on FOCer based VESCs, so I'd say I'm fairly well versed in what I'm talking about. If "Floatwheel" is your basis for VESC, I think you're in need of a lesson, Floatwheel is a knock off of all the work the actual VESC community has been doing for YEARS. it's only just gotten good in the last 2 and a half.
Also, yes, VESCs can be more safe... A well built one that is, it's very easy to misconfigure a VESC and make it unsafe, a quick trip to pev.dev will show you how the PintV and XRV come with unsafe configurations from the factory and need to be changed. BUT Tony insists they come ready to ride, "pre-programmed"
@@JoshParmesan so i am brand new to onewheel, never rode, dont know anyone irl to guide me i want to just build an x7 funwheel, im sure eventually i will.. but i realize that since i literally havnt even rode before i should probably just learn with the new xrclassic recurve full ape premium white colored package with airpads n custom grip tape of caliofornias hydrology shadowed in either way im probably over complicating it all and just should get a pint x n see if i even like this? or go balls to the wall n build a fun wheel n get frustrated by the complexity? lol
@@pullupullupullup4687 my honest opinion - the used OneWheel market is amazing if you're just starting your journey into riding. The VESC I ride in this video started life as an XR I bought second hand, rode it until it bricked (my fault water damage), and now the only stock parts left are the front footpad and stator. If you like the look of the X7 rails/build you could slowly acquire the controller, battery, etc, while learning how to ride a stock XR. That being said a used GT is also a pretty sweet deal since it has range out the get go and is very easily VESC'd at this point, Fungineers also sells their GTFO kit to convert it if you wanted to stay within that realm A PintX tho.... That's something I myself have been contemplating HARD for a minute now, with he release of the XRC I'd probably buy that instead for overall comfort, I'm a tall person with large feet so Pint is way too small, was my first board and I hated the size lmao. I'd still recommend a used XR or GT tho for a first-timer, if you end up not enjoying the hobby you can always sell them for the same you paid
Not bad bro keep it up
@@BiffinGerg thanks man 🤙🏽
