This was an unexpected nuisance of a deck to play against, where opponent's monsters couldn't be destroyed for various reasons. That White Aura Whale really turned the table on what could've been a long, stalling match.

I made this deck for fun after playing against Aromages once and also to get the "Chain blazer"-trophy (which I did get several games later). Unlike the dull meta-slavery you usually see at platinum ranks, it was quite a pleasant change to play against a deck that was NOT a Tri-Brigade or Sky Striker.

I was trying out several different side-decks I made lately and testing the waters with a Marincess deck in ranked matches. This was one of the more tense and interesting matches I had with it.

Mission achieved: I did feel sorry for my opponent with the way the match played out. A lucky starting hand made the match far shorter than it could've been.

This was a rather unorthodox match, forcing me to bait and work around activating effects on monsters I didn't want to be destroyed prematurely, while also dealing with incoming stream of heavy hitters. As always, some drawing luck was involved, but overal it was one of the trickier matches I played in the past days.

This was quite a tense back-and-forth match with some nice comebacks from both sides. Stalling long enough for a chance to turn the game around paid off in the end.

When playing Traptrix, a single use of "Harpy's feather duster" early on can really mess up your gameplan and leave you wide open without traps and with a lonely Sera in the field. In most cases it becomes quite tough to recover from and will often result in a lost match. Usually I find it quite a challenge to make a comeback with my Traptrix-deck in gold ranks when starting out second. But thankfully, after establishing a strong presense in the first turn, most players will either get greedy or decide to flex for whatever reason by sacrificing their existing monsters to summon more monsters. In retrospect, if I had summoned the Underworld-lady during the first main phase and sacrificed the opponent's monster back THEN (or even placed the Twister-trap a turn earlier to get rid of some set traps), the match wouldn't literally blow up in my face! But in that case, I wouldn't witness such an explosive comeback. Well played!
