sorry I didn't realize this video was a year old.
sound too low
Beautiful home with a lovely view. Seriously considering doing this too as currently paying a fortune for a miniscule London maisonette - but all I can think of is doing the washing/having a washing machine? Really clever use of the space too.
Thank you! I can totally understand we’re in Dublin and house prices here aren’t too far off London prices! We have a shed in the garden with the washing machine, extra freezer space (the small one inside isn’t enough for 5) and even a little treadmill!
It’s the best way to cook and Mae outside does anyone agree with me
Well done spotless also.
That’s not always the case 😂
You could get those diesel air heaters with remote controls you can tuck them away in tight spaces,a house is to be loved in we live in a log cabin small but we have our own solar hot water and electric but I don't have to work every day
I have not heard of these but I’m definitely going to have a look for them! The oil heaters take up so much space!
@@Bramblesbooks they have them on eBay about 75 pounds they are for caravans and campervans
Do you need planning
Short answer is yes but there are loopholes and different planning categories if you wish to go down that road!
We are looking to do this with our three - 6,3 & 1 year old 😃
You’re not too far off our kid’s ages! We’ve been doing it since the oldest was 2 and I was newly pregnant with our second! They’re 7,4&2 now!
Buying a house in the West of Ireland in need of renovation has been our dream as well. Do you have any tips on how to get around the local needs criteria? That's the thing that kept me and my partner from buying a house so far because the house would already have to have certain things like a septic tank and connection to water etc. which is not the case with most old or even derelict houses. And you can't renovate without planning permission which is really disheartening for us. I hope you find a way to make your dream come true! 🌼🌸🌺
Hi! It’s so tricky isn’t it? All of the ones we looked at don’t have local needs apply on the terms so we started with that. Now I’m not an expert and we didn’t seek confirmation on this yet but from what I understand if you have a derelict building you can put a non permanent structure I.e caravan, yurt, cabin up in the land to live in while you work on the renovations. We also looked through done deal and just by driving around and making direct contact. But it is hard especially as everything is going quite above the asking price even for just ruins!
@@Bramblesbooks Thank you for your quick reply 🙂 How do you know if local needs applies? I have searched the whole internet but haven't been able to find clear information anywhere. 🤷
A lot of the listings will mention if it’s local needs but before seeing places we rang ahead to ask and the agents always knew and even if you didn’t ask they would mention up front!
We love a good boy!
I wish I was young enough to go on the swings still 😂
They had adult sized ones!
Good luck with your dreams
Thank you! Things are coming together and it’s very exciting 🥰
This is a great introduction! I'm thinking of becoming a food waste hero with olio when they start with the Tesco that's close me. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Do it! It’s so worth it, or at least I enjoy doing it and the satisfaction it gives!
I just found your channel and we are totally in the same boat. I had to move my workspace out of the bedroom to make more room for my son's play space and for baby #2 in Sept ❤ We moved everything into our partially finished shed at the bottom of our yard and have begun the slow process of finishing it meanwhile I have to work in it to make the money to move the project along, haha. I've always adored Ireland and wish to go one day, I have roots there and love the nature videos on your channel. Can't wait to follow you on your journey❤
Congratulations on baby #2! That’s so exciting! Working around finishing a place is so tough! Hence not being finished yet I guess 😂😂 I’ve been in Ireland since 2005 and love it 💚 and thank you so much for the kind words!
Omg the imposter syndrome is so annoying isn't it. I'm the same about my work 😅 I love the vids! Something I'd like to maybe do at some stage too. I love watching TH-cam when I'm doing my hair or something for work that doesn't need a lot of concentration
I hate the feeling but I guess it means we care about what we’re doing? I’ve got so many plans for making these better but the time is always a struggle 😩 us too, even at night when the kids go to bed we’re usually too tired to Netflix ( we haven’t seen the new stranger things yet 😭) so we watch TH-cam instead!
@@Bramblesbooks ohhhhh the new ST was amazing! You're in for a treat when you eventually get to watch it
My drawer of doom is a foldable plastic crate type box that’s on top of the kitchen countertop 😆 one in every house eh
In my case I think there’s more than one 😂
How did I manage to respond on the wrong account 😂
😂 I didn't notice it

Me and my husband are about to move into a static caravan full time in two weeks. Do u have any advise on if it would be safe to leave my dog in there whilst I nip food shopping in summer ? .
Hi! We’ve never had an issue. We currently just have one greyhound but did have two. Greyhounds seem prone to overheating and get cold in winter too… his best is in that corner because it only gets direct sunlight at the end of the day and usually he’s not in the crate (just there while recovering from a leg break) so he moves to regulate his temperature. The back of the caravan is a lot more shaded so stays cooler and that’s where he goes when he’s hot. If you’re worried you can always leave a damp towel on the ground for them to lay in if needed. In winter he has little pijamas to sleep in and has his bed next to the radiator 😊
I totally love your space!!!!😍I have moved house MANY times and have sewn on the floor and a loft and a closet, etc. I think you have a great office space to be creative!! ❤️🌸👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! I definitely feel you, I’ve been in the same position and it’s so nice to finally have a space where I can close the door. I think it helps with the work flow for sure!
West of Ireland is beautiful. 💖
It really is isn’t it?
Wow 😂😂 mountain of sausage rolls!!! Brilliant idea! Great video!!! That woman has no clue if you on a video calling or making a video 😂😂😂😂 don't even think about it.
I’ve been doing this since the beginning of year and it still surprises me every time! Part of me knows that and yet part of me can’t help stress about being judged 😂 the brain is a weird machine!
@@Bramblesbooks haha great watch well done.
