I hate a damned Camaro and I'm a GM man. I think the Belaro kit car is a great way to improve a Camaro. You young people take cars and turn them something they aren't supposed to be all the time, you add huge tires, boom boxes, tinted windows, and Lamborghini door kits. And by the way, taking a tri-five Chevy and adding an LS engine is turning a classic into a piece of shit that wasn't meant to be. As you said, it's making something that it's not. So stop bitching about what others desire in cars, it's their money to do with as they please. If you don't like the Belaro kit car then it's ok, it's called freedom of choice.

I know youre not very active on this channel but i hope you can respond to this soon. Ive been a 4 banger tuner kid. But i graduated and im gonna be entering the real world through an electricians apprenticeship and eventually(hopefully) a job. I have a Volkswagen SUV thats on airlift and chewed straight through brand new tires that i only had for 5 months before they blew after 4000 miles. My dad wants me to get a Abarth 500 which is cool, but i want to move away from the tuner shit. There is a panel truck for 5K down the road from me that has an SBC in it. It makes perfect sense to get it. Utility, Reliability and ease of servicing but he doesnt agree with it and says that i wont like it because "ill always be having to fix something". Is there any ideas or tips you have that could help him see the light on this?

I have no idea where you got those numbers on the 99-04 GT.. The 0-60 is 5.2-5.5 seconds and the quarter mile is 13.9..
