CrossCounsel - We Do Things Differently
The heart of our ministry lies in personal ministry sessions. Our unique MELT Process is explained in greater detail on our website at www.crosscounsel.com. While we are a Christ-centered ministry, you don’t need to be a spiritual giant to find healing and freedom. What you do need is courage and a willingness to face some uncomfortable places within yourself.
Memory
Some people say we are our experiences. That’s not true. But we are shaped by how we’ve interpreted those experiences. Unfortunately, those interpretations are often distorted. Reconnecting with those memories and uncovering the distortions is a critical part of this process. Many people believe they can’t remember much from their childhood but are amazed at what surfaces during a session.
Emotion
Facing and feeling your emotions is a God-given tool to help you connect with the deeply held wrong beliefs that are causing your struggles. This process allows you to get to the source of your pain rather than simply burying it. If you find it difficult to access your emotions, we can help.
Lie/Belief
The next step-or sometimes the last and most difficult to reach-is uncovering the core wrong belief at the root of your pain. Many approaches only address surface-level lies, leaving the deeper ones untouched. In our process, we help you dig past the surface to identify the core beliefs that have kept you trapped.
Truth/Transformation
When your heart is ready to surrender these false beliefs to Jesus, we guide you in asking Him for His perspective within those painful memories. His presence redefines how we see ourselves and our past, bringing peace to even the most painful events. That peace doesn’t just stay in the past-it transforms how you experience life in the present.

Totally relate to the lead off discussion! I have grown HUGELY and experiencing truth is almost impossible to put into words that capture how “transformative” these truths have been in my life!!!! I started in 2010 and have enjoyed “tune-ups” periodically ever since!!!! Thanks Cross Counsel!!!!❤

Hillary recommended Cross Counsel to me when I was experiencing some severe anxiety. I keep going back for more sessions because Jesus is healing all of my negative memories. I'm continually becoming less anxious, less depressed, and more at peace. Cross Counsel makes space for Jesus to heal me at the deepest level so there are no barriers to me producing the fruit of the Spirit and being able to go forward in full obedience to Christ, no matter what He asks.

Interesting comment... we are trying to control behaviors I stead of dealing with hard issues, or even control emotions without dealing with the heart...

Of course! Several of the attributes of The Fruit have an emotional component. I think it's helpful to look at them as being together, forming a unified whole, reflecting the overall character and work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life. They are not meant to be isolated traits but are interconnected and, hopefully, growing together as we reach maturity in Christ. Thanks!

That is such a great event and for the best cause. Cross Counsel facilitated deep healing and the sessions helped me understand we are never alone! God’s omnipresence, love, and compassion is real especially including the worst moments in my life (when I formerly thought God forgot about me)! Thanks Cross Counsel!

Jesus provided the connection between my head and my heart, like a conduit or connecting electrical wire to bring the union of my thinking brain with my feeling heart. I think He does this to people so His Light can shine brightly through!

Amen! Deep healing and steadfast transformation happens for me when God revealed His Infinite Love while He meeting me in the earliest and most painful episodes in my life. It is absolutely uncanny how much the lies I believed about the past affects my preset. Jesus gave me a new Covering a re-cover and allowed the union between what I know in my head with what I feel in my heart! I have learned to draw on the truth experiences I had during Cross Counsel sessions! Life changing!

If only we started translating the Greek word “Trauma” into its English equivalent meaning “Wound” people might just start to believe that Wounds heal. Instead they associate Trauma with an idea of a scar. When in all reality scars are a product of healing, not a product of hurt.

The title of this episode caught my attention-“Finding home.” I moved 25 times by the time I was 25, so I grew up feeling rootless, like I didn’t belong anywhere. I remember so many times wishing I could get in a car and drive and drive and drive, and then get out, and magically I would be home. As an adult, I’ve been kicked out of churches, small groups, other groups-including some where I initially felt a deep sense of connection and value. Several of my former “best friends” now want nothing to do with me. And, yeah, I’ve done my share of stupid things, so yes I brought some of this on myself. In addition, I’m slow to pick up on group politics, so I think I’m an easy target for those who want to get me out of the way. Here’s what I’ve finally concluded: other people can’t give me what I want-a sense of home. It won’t come from them. It can’t come from them. But I no longer feel the need to drive and drive to find home. I’ve found it hanging out with God. He likes me. He likes hanging out with me. He’s welcome in my home, and, I think, I’m welcome in His. I’ve used that sense of home that I received as a love gift from God to try to build a sense of home with my own family-my wife, my children, my mom. Much of the pain of being rejected, kicked out, thrown aside by other people has faded. I’ve mostly stopped trying to compete for a place in their world, but I do try to open the door so they can have a place in mine. I try to let people be who they are instead of forcing them to be “cool” so they can hang out with me. Yeah, I still feel a sense of loss. But I also remember that Jesus was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. So maybe what’s happened to me is a gift, a trust, an opportunity to feel the heart of God. I don’t know. Maybe another couple sessions and the hurt will be erased for all time. I don’t know. But thanks for bringing up the subject and giving me space to say something about it.
