Very well said "This game wasn't just a game, it was an experience." I don't think anyone could have said it better than that. I remember when I first got a PS2 with Dark Cloud, I had to replay the first dungeon over and over until any of the local stores had a PS2 memory card in stock. I played FFX and Kingdom Hearts alongside each other and it was crazy seeing Tidus and Wakka (and of course other characters from the series) in Kingdom Hearts. The PS2 just had so many great games, back when Square was cranking out FF7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2 and 12 within roughly 1.5 years of each other. Nowadays it seems like it takes 5 years to develop a game that you're going to beat in 20 hours. 'To Zanarkand' was very fitting. Great video, Jonathan, definitely looking forward to more like this!

I miss when devs would come up with smart ways of utilizing the hardware to its max or little tricks like rain that if you zoom out is only on you. Now they get the game to just playable , glaze the "graphic fidelity" and want you to spend money on stuff games use to let you unlock like skins and weapons lol there was so much passion in just about any game you picked up in the ps2 era 100's of games that were fully playable now ps5 has like 5 exclusives and 1 of them is a remake (demon souls) and exclusives aside both xbox and Playstation are just lacking

Truth to be told, games today seems to lack the passion and uniqueness to seperate themselves from one another and being their own experience like back in the days of the PS1 and PS2 era. All you see now is the same genre being made over and over with little to no difference whatsoever to stand out and just follow the same trend as the others and expect results, if it fails well don't learn from it and repeat the same process all over again. Seems like gaming developers nowadays forgot how to reinvent the wheel and go for something that isn't what you've seen a thousand times over the past 10 years just to set a number. I understand that today most gamers see anything past the PS2-PS3 as old and archaic but i really miss those times when every game had something to actually offer, something to stand out from the rest and most of all replayability that's worth coming back to and do a new game file. It's sad to say while yes, we've somewhat advanced in terms of graphics, frames fidelity and technology gaming still feels like one and the same thing there's no intruiging stories just gameplay and your generic Hero A and Hero B against Villian C and save the world from thing because reasons and evil stuff happening, or your oversaturation of Hero Shooters that pretty much nobody asked for in the first place. Maybe is because i'm old or don't enjoy videogames like i used to, but quite frankly there isn't a game from today that actually entice me to buy it or have that "it factor" that makes it different from the rest, not to mention the over abundance and uneccesary remasters and remakes.

Its crazy how even with all this technology they still can’t make games like they used to (most of the time). This truly was the golden age of gaming.

Byakuya 1 card ability reminds me of Ebon Illusion Magician from Yugioh if my opponents character cards are low enough. Pretty busted with cost 5 Ichigo with Byakuya's Special.

I would consider 3 to 4 of the 5 cost raid Ichigo. It's one of the few cards u can play that can outright ko a 5k like kurapika.
