Installing and Testing Rear Diff Spool in Rsti
มุมมอง 392ปีที่แล้ว
Its been awhile since I posted the Rsti is now rwd. The first drift day I went too the car was almost impossible to link 2 turns together because of the LSD locking and unlocking.....making the subi unpredictable during a drift. So I hunted down a rear spool for the R180 rear diff. If I had an open diff welding would have been the easy option but open r180 diffs are very hard to find. I go to d...

มุมมอง 1.6K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Sorry if audio is bad. Shot this whole thing on the new gopro hero7 black. I think ill just use this for driving and not filming everything. But yes the regas have been replaced. But there was a twist. Thanks for watching!

GD harness bar into GC/GM
มุมมอง 9185 ปีที่แล้ว
Couldnt find any current companies making a harness bar for the GC/GM chassis. Found out a GD ones fit perfect. And i wont be putting GM in any of my other vids. This is just for the Chassis code nazis out there. I use the chassis code GC lightly.
Zygrene Reviews USDM sti swap vs JDM sti swap
มุมมอง 9715 ปีที่แล้ว
Behind the scenes look at the review Zygrene did on my USDM sti swapped GC vs my buddies JDM sti swapped GC. I know the subie gurus out there will say its not a GC its a GM....i like the use the term GC loosely.. Link to Zygrenes review video th-cam.com/video/jW0bkPPKQYI/w-d-xo.html
The Subaru GC8 Gets Stiff
มุมมอง 1.5K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Found out that the sti strut brace is very weak. Went back to the company i always trust for good quality bracing. Ultra racing makes strong Chromoly pieces that fit very well.

มุมมอง 3.8K5 ปีที่แล้ว

Picking up the RSti from Dynamic Autoworks
Awesome it worked out! Any updates on it?
@CypHill was able to get one track day in and it went very well. Still going strong. Will try to post more updated video soon
You need to turn off AYC with the button. How’s it down for 5 seconds if not your ACY will not allow you to rotate at all and will cut power
Yeah the Evo X is great,! I’m pushing 330 awhp in mine and it’s so fun!! My fuel setup is good for another 100 to 150hp. I’ve taken mine through Mt Charleston here in Vegas and it handles so well. I’m running Enkei NTO3 wheels with Advan 255 tires with a 200 tread wear. Tein coilovers fully adjustable and no issues.
"I'm gonna let this guy come... I flashed him, so he can come.." BRUHHHHHH lmaoooo Edit: Do you still have the Evo X? You mentioned going to a trackday maybe 6 months ago (replied to a different comment on the AYC replacement canyon drive vid), how'd that go? She hold up well? Still looking at one of these to either add (financially irresponsible idea, lol) or replace one or both of my current cars (Fiesta ST n ND Miata Club)
Where do you buy the power / bleeder pump at ? Link please
Any updates on the MLR ayc fix?
@@Lenoke85 it's been working great. No more ayc lights. One track day in it since the fix.
Thank you so much for links and sharing. I prolonged my pumps life with fluid film spray. Due to road salt. Im in the process now in rebuilding pump for my Ralliart. Trying to purchase pump tester kit. Love the video!
I can rebuild Evos and Ralliart AYC and ACD pumps and modify it to Stage2. Also I can fix them common problems at all. 👋
Is there link for that AYC bleed kit?
Do you have a link to the rebuild kit you used? Thanks
Im putting a new pump in my EVO X, its been almost 3 years since I been driving without it. I will also be putting it in my trunk because our Canadian winters are killing this poor thing
Thanks for the information buddy. 👍
these are supremely underrated as canyon carvers.. all the builds i usually see are for outright power... Looking to hopefully pick up one of these to turn into a backroad bomber later in life....
Exactly! Too many people building these for freeway pulls...I want to drive it how it was supposed to be driven....I have my first track day in it coming up this weekend!
@@funktionchannel Good luck man!! I hope she holds up.. If/when i do get one, it'll probably be a high mileage one as well.. Im lucky though as English Racing is literally 15 minutes away from me.. The AWD system really is head and shoulders above the STI's.. I still remember the FQ400 keeping pace with a murcielago on the shorter Top Gear course.. any long straights, sure it's gonna leave it, but in tight stuff, that Murci aint going anywhere lol
Thanks for the info and parts. Really nice of you
I’m going to sell my evo before it starts giving me problems lol. I’m at 100k with no problems
Now that I fixed all the little issues. Which were pretty easy to fix car is running good...and she's at 200k miles
Nice video bro, you have the link for the AYC motor replacement?? Thank you!
mlreng.com/collections/mitsubishi-acd-ayc Here you go!
200k miles. Hell yeah
yep..stock block...lets see how long she can last
@@funktionchannel hopefully forever lol and I'm still on a stock block as well with 80k.
@@dantew2942 signed up for a track day in april...so we will see if 200k can handle track abuse..
Yes the videos are back!
Happy for you bro and I feel you cuz I’ve been through this with my evo too and thankfully all i had to do is to add more oil back there and things became great 🤓 wish you a good evo life all the way from saudi Arabia 🇸🇦♥️
Hello Funktion, from Alberta, Canada. Thanks for the ayc vid. 👍👍 Yer right , AYC vids are hard to come by. 2008 Evo X MR
They are...that's why I tried to share this one...plus it's been fun working on this chassis and learning new things..
👍👍👍
Did you try drifting with holding down the traction button for 5 to 10 seconds to turn off all the help from the ayc and traction control.
I did...I gotta try again. It threw an awd service light then went away...checked ayc lever in reservoir and it was low....forgot to top off after bleeding and going for a test drive.
@funktionchannel hmmm. Usually once you do that the ayc light should stay on the dash telling you it's off. Evos do more power sliding anyways than drifting.
@MrPrince2289 I'll give it another go...next time iam in the area...it's not my main goal to try and slide it...I just wanted to feel it out and see how it felt if it does come out and how the control was.
im just amaze of your washers and dryers D:
Me too...they make perfect work benches..haha
where can i find that AYC pump tester?
I got it from this place...www.acd-pump.com/overhaul-kits
So I have the 4wd system required light on and I believe is the ayc pump anyways can I still drive like that?will it cause any damages?
You can still drive it....but the you just will be driving on open diffs all around..the ayc or and won't distribute the power around like it's supposed to.... basically you won't notice any difference just driving around.
Thanks for the info
@fallenangel6750 but try and get it fixed so you can enjoy the reason we have a evo! For its great awd system...what area are you in?
Noooo mannn dude 😢😢
I'll get another one day
what part of CA you in??
Eastbay area
Great! Glad she’s coming together!
Thanks! Little by little.
Please let us know if it works. Thank you for teaching all of us something new in the evo x community 🙏🏻
Coming very soon. Plan to take her out tonight and see if light is gone!
Thanks, my ayc is only stuck on tarmac and won’t let me change the setting
Do you have evo scan? I would scan car and see what fault it gives you.
Great!
Thanks. Getting there with the car.
Nice man! Good luck on your build.
Thanks. So far not going too bad.
.ine just came in today
Where did you get the ground kit?
any tips on boost problems? i've been maxxing out at ~15psi after the install on a 2021 STI
Love the Subie content!!! and yeah breaks are necessary from time to time .... Just got my GC8 swapped 🙂
Where is that place @
in san jose somewhere....i forgot actually. he just sent me the location and i showed up.
😂
Where your buy this spool from? Link?
I had to call iag....it's not listed anywhere on the internet....I had to make some phone calls to track it down
@@funktionchannel how much is the spool?
Actually, when you go for a test run it looks exact like welded one, coz it keeps locking up when you finish to do donuts and when you started to do dounut at the end of the video. Anyway cheers for a video mate
A rear spool is basically a welded diff...but it will never break.
thanks for the vid big bro. just picked one up myself, your still the only video all these years later.
Brooooooooo been waiting for years literal man. Sheesh lol ur old videos inspire my builds. Thanks for everything !
Iam back at it now!
Hey, were the hoses that came with the kit was long enough or did you have to buy extra? I saw in the instructions that the aos is suppose to mount above the turbo close to the firewall
I bought mine used and ot came with hoses long enough....I didn't mount mine there because of my ac dryer unit.
Hello! Tell me, AOS is not low? does this place the oil back into the engine?
What kind of intake Past turbo inlet?
20 years ago this was THE exhaust for Imprezas :D
Great video. What flares are those?

Were you able to install the mid pipe on ramps like this?

How did you manage to use the STI 07 steering wheel on your GC8 without it appearing as an error on the panel or it explodes?
