And this video I will be demonstrating how I took a small Fleet of herpa tractors and modified them to dump style trucks using my 3D printer and airbrush I brought back to life something that was sitting on my shelf collecting dust I use my 3D printer to construct a more modern style dump box that would otherwise be very challenging to scratch build and this video I will also be just driving so...

    Really good-looking vehicle parts I was wondering are you going to offer any of them for sale? I could use a few 20/18 footers

      @RobertTurcic HI Rob thank you this was done on my old fdm printer I know my new resin printer will probably be much better. I just do it as a hobby, I have a busy schedule I really would like to be more active with my Channel I run my own heating company full-time I really do want to get more involved with my channel. I am a single owner operator business so when I do get free time I like to try to work on my layout but I do plan someday to get more active with my channel I really just want to learn from others and also hope that I can offer some of my experience to help others as well.

      Hey thanks a lot for your reply I would like to mention the fact that your print looks very much like a prototype from the truck that I used to drive the design was done by pioneer weld built it was mounted on a 2000 Kenworth w900b model I'm interested in buying about four bodies I was hoping you could help me with that as I'm building an HO scale replica of the truck I drove. As far as I know your prints are the only one that matched the prototype. I think they looked really good in the video which is why I was contacting you. I understand about your schedule I ran my own trucking business for a lot of years so I know anyway I was hoping you would consider selling me some of those printed bodies I'll see if I can find a photo of the trucks so you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about

    Nice review. These ST top hats are very nice models. Slightly off topic but, did you scratch-build those freeway signs on your layout or did they come from kits? Those are really nice!

      Thank you sir I always second guess myself but if I keep trying to make every single thing perfect I probably would never have any videos on TH-cam so I say just go for it and get better as you go

    Great review! I certainly learned quite a bit about these units. Now that you're back to TH-cam, you should do an another run by video or maybe one of some of your layouts operations. Also maybe even a roster video.

      @@mikestrains23 I'm not super knowledgeable on this particular decoder but I noticed sometimes I've tried to delete the locomotive like off of a contest I know you probably don't have it on 1 but sometimes that has work for me when I've had weird issues I don't know why though the other thing I was going to say is there is a dpu mode and I wonder or do you think it might be turned on? What system are you using

      Trains & Coffee I looked into that but DPU mode is an F5 function and F 5 is listed in manual not used, But I am not a pro on DCC , unless it’s something in programming...

    I had to glue the steps on my C40-9..... Both steps on the right side and i was not too happy about that. I not that good at glueing small parts on..... Otherwise they are pretty good locomotives.

    • @trainsncoffee
      @trainsncoffee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually yeah I kind of feel like I bit my tongue on that because the bottom step I believe on the engineer side was but I asked the first time I've ever had that issue I know it's tough with these tiny models he got enough glue to hold but not too much to be visible thanks for checking the video out sir :)

      This seems to be becoming the norm from ScaleTrains broken and missing parts and the horn sound quality sucks it’s sad to see this happening!!! In the beginning they had to impress us so quality was excellent now they feel they carved out a spot they are comfortable with giving a half as good product !!!

    • @josephmurrill8530
      @josephmurrill8530 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickcaudo135 If scaletrains send me another locomotive with missing parts, i will pack that locomotive up and send it back to them and ask for a replacement, or they may have to start opening and inspecting their products. I hate to pay good money for a defective product.

      @rickcaudo135 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Murrill I just decided not to spend anymore of my hard earned money on their products. Now that they made a name for themselves quality isn’t as important to them so I’ve learned a lesson. The customer service is crap anymore as well it’s just not worth the stress honestly!!!

      @trainsncoffee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickcaudo135 I can't say I've had that bad of an experienced myself but I can say that that's concerning to hear, I can say though that I don't know of any brands that I have ever has exceptionally over-the-top customer service with I have spoke with them on a few occasions and they've always return my calls and seems patient enough to take the time for small talk ask your comment on the horn I felt at first that it was very choppy in its function but once I used it a few times it seems to be fine but that is an issue with lock sound not scale trains

    Great video! The progress on your railroad is fantastic! A few questions: 1. Will you be modeling interchange with CP in Buffalo? R&S in Silver Springs? WCOR or B&H in Gang Mills? 2. Do you plan to do operating sessions? 3. I see you use NCE and have a computer setup. Do you plan to use JMRI/CATS? This could be helpful for doing signaling. 4. How do we contact you to get the pipe flanges? I'd like to see some scenes of trains running in your next video!
