Sundays are generally very quiet in Norway, since most stores are mandated by law to be closed.

As a Norwegian -11 is nothing, as I've experienced as low as -30 and -40 growing up. Mathallen came before Oslo Street Food, and yes the vibe is different. Street Food also has 3 different locations here in Oslo, each with a different feel due to the building it's in and the area. And not 100% sure, but I do believe they each have their own food stalls, so not the same in each and every one of the locations. I prefer the one at Concordia as it's not nearly as crowded as the one in Torggata, and better layout and seating in my opinion. Still to try the one near Akerbrygge. And I'm quite sjocekd you Brits aren't used to the cold weather, as I thought we had very similar climates, but I guess yours is milder, more rain and less snow? Been to England plenty, but only in the summer, and it was way too hot, and humid for my liking. Btw all the royal families/houses in Europe are related. And Queen Elizabeth was the 3rd cousin of our King Harald. Also when you grow up and live in Norway, you learn how to dress properly for the cold, which is layers and wool. Never thought about the sculptures at Vigelandsparken being nude as weird lol. Properly because I grew up with it.

The massive diversity of nature and locations as well as the huge size of the US is why many Americans don't have passports. There is so much to do and see here, there isn't enough time in a lifetime to see it all.

Tarin thinks Another bit of good advice for beginners would be to watch you tube videos of some of the more experienced wild campers not just because they are awesome but for tips on gear and how to's, also before you wild camp research research research, it can't be said enough, and always try to have a backup plan. Tarin thinks you guys did good. At least you weren't eaten by the wildlife. Tarin admires your courage. Maybe one day tarin will bite the bullet and actually try this too. 😁
