Singing without stigma or shame. A privilege to film with The Choir With No Name for BBC Breakfast
The Choir With No Name stunned millions of TV viewers when they recently performed on The Pride of Britain Awards with singer James Arthur. It was inspiring to film with the Liverpool branch and hear their stories and voices. The choir offers support for homeless and marginalised people - many members say it's like family. #bbcnews #bbcbreakfast #tvreporter #thechoirwithnoname #tvnews #liverpool #prideofbritainawards #jamesarthur

What a thrilling - and noisy - end to 2023. It was brilliant to broadcast from the top of one of London's most famous landmarks for BBC Breakfast and BBC World. The views across the capital city were spectacular and the clock is a marvel of Victorian engineering. So if you love Big Ben but don't know much about the beloved bell's history then check out my report. (We had ear defenders on for th...
My BBC Breakfast report on the Songs for Ukraine Choir who raise their voices with harmony & hope
มุมมอง 37510 หลายเดือนก่อน
The choir was set up by the Royal Opera House in London to support the Ukrainian community who fled the Russian Invasion. For the first time they performed outside the capital city, at the stunning Bradford Cathedral. Against a backdrop of war and loss, they shared their heartbreaking stories. Separated from families and spending Christmas without loved ones. But when they sang it showed their ...
The water is gone but its left loss and pain behind. My BBC News report on the flooding aftermath.

When hundreds of homes and businesses were flooded by Storm Babet it made headlines across the globe. But what happens now to all those people who face months out of their homes, living in hotels or rental properties? I went back to Derbyshire and Yorkshire to speak to some of the people displaced by the storm. Including the Eden family who are in a race against time to get their teenage daught...

Reporting from Retford as flooded parts of the UK deal with the aftermath. On the Politics Live programme the discussion was around what support and help was being made available following on from the damage and devastation caused by Storm Babet #bbctwo #politicslive #bbcnews #tvnews #broadcaster #presenter #reporter #flooding #ukweather

Edna the puppy stole the show when I reported on the floods in Chesterfield for BBC Breakfast news. I think she was a little too fond of me but what can I do but go on with the show. Thanks to the wonderful team at the Doggy Daycare Centre for letting our cameras in after they were flooded. I was in heaven being surrounded by dogs. #bbcnews #bbcbreakfast #livetv #tvpresenter #dogsontv

Holmfirth may be world-famous for The Last of the Summer Wine but The Picturedrome is making it a centre for music lovers too. It was great to chat to Peter who owns this historic venue about how he's transformed it into a magical music space. I reckon Nora Batty and Compo would've been reet chuffed #bbcbreakfast #broadcaster #tvnews #holmfirth #musiclovers #yorkshiremusic #gigs

Such a joy to present the main programme in Newcastle. Broadcasting from such iconic and historic studios. The great thing about being a freelance presenter is that I get to travel around the UK. Thanks for all your lovely comments. Get in touch if you need me. #tvpresenter #freelancejournalist #bbcnews #broadcaster

How many women want equality here?
The vast size of the coal districts its simply mind blowing 2hr travelling underground to reach the coal seams to think they are just underground rivers now flooded 😢
What a joke.
👍 Looking good there Charlotte. Keep up the good work. x
Lol. They let you on the conveyor :)
Thank. Good video.
A total disgrace they let all our mines go I loved working in them would go back tomorrow the govement is a disgrace
There is loads of coal under the mountains in Merthyr Tydfil Swales.
Longwall mining system
Huge amounts of money is being put into health and safety you say? Look where that got you. Hope you're enjoying the call centres
Uk may open new and also abandoned colliery that many migrants and its own people will get a living boosting economy. Natural resources r priceless.
Nobody wants coal so no chance of that happening!
Missed seeing you on the local reports over the past few years - great to see you back on the news, even if #dogsontv did try to steal the show...
Well, they made sure none of us got injured again !
My great uncle was one of the first, maybe the first, journalist photographers to go into a coal mine to take photographs, his photos appeared in the Feb 1939 edition of the Picture Post
I really miss Ynot i went in 2020 2022 2023 but not 2024😢😢😢😢😢😢
I remember going but i cant go this year😢
Derek is a lovely guy, I've been subject to ect, years of unnecessary I've prescribed medication, now a chronic alcoholic,
Nothing brilliant about the BBC
Unfortunately nobody cares for the bbc these days, too much fake news enjoy it whille you can I guess, it could well be a shortlived career move.....
Welcome back, love!
Great to see Charlotte back on the box!
Worked there 78- 96
Harry and Lotte, both sadly missed from Look North 😢. Good to see you reporting again Lotte
can i be pinned
May the ghost 👻👻 haunt them 😜😜
Always loved your presenting - so good to see you onscreen again
Coal is a filthy fuel source, above and below ground. It’s not a viable option to expand.
Charlotte please remember to present facts in your broadcasts not a woke agenda.
You were lucky to experience this, I wrote more than 100 letters to visit different collieries's. but sadly all were refused.
Only just dawned on me that Charlotte is wearing a black, lead acid, cap lamp battery…..they stopped using those at Kellingley 10 years before, replacing them with Yellow, light weight lithium batteries….wonder who’s idea that was ?🤔
Also you only get that dirty doing a shift not a visiting journalist.
*promosm* 😁
I'll have to point my tv aerial in the opposite direction!
Aye, and awe for a pittance, slave Labour, Miners. Salt o the Earth.

Strange how women don’t want gender equality in this trade! Mystery!
There were lot of women employed in the coal mines. Especially before automation and introduction of machines. Even children for that matter. The conditions and pay were horrible. One can check out Emilie Zola's novel Germinal if interested.
The Germans are trying to re-open a lignite mine as they shut down their nuclear prematurely to "rely" on imported gas. Career politicians who have no business experience nor intelligence.
If we were allowed to grow the hemp plant, this could be turned into oil. But the satanists who control the world don't want that because if you could grow your own fuel then they would have NO CONTROL over us.
It criminal the way the Government closed the pits too buy coal from other countries and our depending on Russia and the like . The sh.t has hit the fan now . Great video. thoe
Thank you I live in England
Well said..thankyou
Why is her face so much more dirtier than everyone else’s face??? Lol
This is the last remaining working deep mine, theres one down here in South Wales called Big Pit, You can go down the mine on tours but they don't dig no coal out from there.
Imagine Charlotte you were a Hotel inspector /Journalist , you just inspected a 4star London west end hotel.
Your the Best
thanks Dave x
Cantik...

Thanks Charlotte for posting this, what PRIVILEGE TOP GO TO THE COAL FACE AT KELLINGLEY I AM VERY JEALOUS.
I found a program the other day from 1977 called coal not dole, never laughed so much when the helicopter blew that blokes wig off 😂😂
How come no one is mentioned coal in the energy crisis.? Because they know now they fucked up big time relying on abroad
I bet that cheer meant a lot to him
