No door knob is keeping out a human being who wants in.
Yup
Thanks for teaching the new crooks! 😞
They already know
The first hammer blow my dogs went crazy, the second one I was already waiting for you one the other side.
I sure hope so , if you don't use a Kwickset you will have more time for them to hear
And that is why we have the Second Amendment
Amen!
I wouldn’t say that’s picking anything. If you pick it the lock is still usable. Might as well kick the door down for what you did.😢
Actually the smart locks are crazy I could pop that piece right back into the door knob to make it work has a little ding on the outside is all but you are correct
If someone is gonna break into your house they are going to do it no matter what lock you have...
Yeah but the goal is to slow them down long enough for your dog to get to him or for you to get to your means of self-defense. They can get in before you even know what happens it's not good for you, in a perfect world your locks will deter them to coming in through a window
I have much faster, safer, quieter way to open that door without destroying the lock, two words: Bump Key
Yes but this wasn't to show people how to get through it was to show you how unsecure it was but bump keys are great tool
You can pick quicker than a key can open it. Tip if you think your lock was picked smell it for WD40.
That is a good trick
Smart, show potential thieves how to break in.
They already know how to break in, the idea is to let people know how vulnerable they are
A buddy picked me up to go to a bar. My SOP of grabbing MY car keys with remote with house keys was thrown off because HE was driving led to me forgetting my keys in the locked house. When we got back, my friend, all of 5’-8” 150 pound white collar lightweight now 1/2 drunk said basically “hold my beer” and slammed his shoulder into the door and it flew open. Oh BTW, from back in grade school I’ve heard “ no house is stronger than a pane of glass.” Still sorta applies today
Absolutely correct in every way, but if you need to get in without destroying the door of the door jamb this is it and you can secure door jams and stuff to make them stronger by using schlage locks instead of kwikset
Shoulder into that door and any lock won't hold ya out.
You would think but that isn't always true. Even for a guy of my size
My dog will eat your screwdriver before you can get that cover off
Right, that is the point of better locks is to give your dog time!
Bump key, does not destroy the doorknob lock.
Yes that is a great tool, but wouldn't demonstrate how easy it is to defeat this style of lock
Ingenious with a great wit. Love this guy!
Thanks, I didn't invent it though just was taught by some old school guys.
I can get into any lock you pick quicker then that without destruction....
I believe you
By the time that cover came off I had my pistol out and was looking thru the peephole. Come on in.
That’s why we have guns
Use a pair of clannel locks grab whole handle and turn 10 seconds and your in
True
Brooooo next time you need to “practice” at least one😜😅
I've done a ton of these but this was a Smart Lock and so it was slightly different than the ones we usually do
large pipe wrench will get you in a lot quicker
True almost always damages the door
Kwukset should sue you.
They know the weakness of their lock, that's like me teaching people how to lock pick and then saying the lock company should sued me
@TheJacks No. It's defamation.
CREDIT CARD MUCH EASER
Credit card is much easier but you can't always use a credit card it's depending on the door jamb, at least if you don't want to damage anything
And the camera facing you will be used in the police report 😅
Right
Locks are for honest people, criminals can get in within seconds. all North American locks are junk. Europeans know how to make a door and lock.
I hope that's true, I've never been there so I've never checked them out
All locks pretty much are the same , i use a channel lock and bite the handle and opens, that's why you should have a deadbolt 😅😅😅😅😅
I will do my next video on how to get through a kwikset deadbolt in 30 seconds
Kicking the door in would have been so much faster. Don't quit your day job.
Kicking a door open isn't always as easy as you think
1.11 seconds
🤣
Locks keep your friends out. Not thieves.
True, but good locks make them come through window
And that . . . is why you buy a deadbolt.
My next video will be how to get into a quick set deadbolt in less than 30 seconds
No lock will prevent a break in.
But it can slow one down
If someone wants in, they will get in. My tool of choice is an electric chainsaw.
No such thing as a lock that can't be bypassed 😅 it's commen sence.
True but it can slow people down enough to allow you to prepare
If the lock had to be destroyed or permanently damaged to get in, it did its job. That would document that there was breaking and entering. It's true that a bank vault is harder to get through with brute force than a garage door, but there are typically so many ways to break into a garage that having a stronger lock would not add much to the security.
It is about buying time, the longer it takes them to get in the more likely the dog will bark
I’d say a lot of locks can be opened when you have a hammer and screwdriver.
You would think but that's not actually true, I used to work in foreclosures and we'd have to break into abandoned houses all the time and we weren't allowed to go through the windows and there are some schlage locks and brinks locks out there that take forever to drill through especially the deadbolts, I can get through a quick set deadbolt 30 seconds flat and I haven't done it in 10 years
I had rentals at one time hence I kept many used Kwickset Door knobs. If I wanted in a locked exterior door, I would just take a large pair of channel lock pliers. Twist it off and use a screwdriver to twist open. Cheap locks, you must back them up with a deadbolt.
I agree but doing it that way actually damages the doors, I used to have to change locks on foreclosures all the time and we couldn't damage the door to get in,
Locks are for honest people
Yeah but we sure do rely on them heavily to make us feel comfortable, especially when you think half of American homes don't have the means to protect themselves.
Heavy duty screw driver and hammer
It was an itty bitty baby screwdriver
Any lock is defeatable, it helps keep an honest person honest. If they want in bad enough you will not stop them.
That is true however getting through a schlag takes way longer
"I'm TORGUE! And I'm here to show you why you should never use ace heavy duty security locks on your doors!" *_Blows door clean out of the frame with several dozen packs of C4._* "See? Anyone can just blast their way in!"
It's about speed and technically I could have reused that piece of the lock. I chose to put on a new knob because it was the wrong color anyway
@@TheJacks I'm just poking fun at how that quick pop turned into a bit of an operation for you. And using an explosion-happy game character for it. Because that would be his solution. _Do not buy Torgue weapons if you are allergic to AWESOMENESS!!!! ...Or Polykryten Plating._ *_TOODLES!_*
Had the same thing happen to me. Guy had tools, time, and a camera man. Removed all my windows, doors, and roof. It was a wild day
I'm not sure why that happened but that sounds like a crazy video
Lmao
That's interesting I'd love to see that video, I could probably replicate it though
What if you’re pulling up? Not down
It doesn't make a difference
My shed has an unused 30A 220 circuit for a since spa pump - it's literally 2 feet from my shed. But I don't like the idea of permanently wiring the shed to it so thought of using that circuit to put a 220V outlet mounted on the side of the shed with an in-use weatherproof cover, probaby add a 110V one next to it for utility. Then to power the shed I add a 30A generator inlet next to it and a short cord to connect the two. Adds a bunch of expense for the hardware but makes it possible to completely off-grid the shed. My question to you is... I'm assuming the box at the top is an outdoor two circuit load center with weatherproof covers? Are you breaking out one 20A 110V circuit into two in the shed or do you also have a split-phase 220V input?
splitting the 240. Circuit and sharing the neutral like a standard panel feeder
👍🏼👍🏼❤️
Thanks for the comment I'm glad you like the video
I kinda wanna know what the water is for but at the same time I’m standing here not wanting to do this 150’ home run 😂
It's just a water bottle and I found myself in that position many times
"3 Times Faster." How did you come up with that figure? It must have taken a lot of work to time how long, on average, it took to run all of the different methods. And then to come up with a result of 3.0 times faster. Not 3.1 or 2.9, but exactly 3 times faster. Wow. Maybe a better, non clickbait title would have been just to state that your method is faster!
Fair enough however I had no idea this video was going to generate a million views I was just trying to teach people how to blow line through the pipe
@TheJacks All good.....just having a bit of a dig at you. I just detest Clickbait. Your video is good, though!
On long pulls I use the jet line to pull in mule tape. Much stronger and easier on the hands. Also, the jet line can cut the PVC conduit at elbows. The mule tape is flat and won't cut in.
That is a solid point
cool guy! good video! !!
Thanks
No dishwashing soap???
I have heard that
Use plastic bags from the meat department they work better
That is a fabulous idea
Thanks for sharing
Glad to help
