    Do you have to do HDMI can you just do it straight USB

    • @reelwordfilms8534
      @reelwordfilms8534 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The issue is having some sort of "engine" to recognize a video input. The HDMI to USB adapter has a graphics card in it so that's the engine that tells your computer it's an incoming video signal. Generally, a straight USB to USB cable only allows the transfer of files/data, not a live video input UNLESS you have a program/app that will recognize it running on your computer.

    • @reelwordfilms8534
      @reelwordfilms8534 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For some cameras, there are three things you need: 1. Your DSLR needs to have the "live view" option (it outputs the live feed from your viewfinder) and 2. An adapter that allows you to connect your camera to the ipad (usually lightening to hdmi) 3. An app that accepts external camera inputs.

    • @reelwordfilms8534
      @reelwordfilms8534 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Multiple DSLR cameras with HD video would take a lot of computing power both processing and video card power. If you want to use multiple DSLR's with Switcher Studio, you would need to run those through a multiple camera input on your computer (I've seen it done using DSLR's as multiple web cams) and then send that feed to Switcher Studio. Does that make sense?

    @reelwordfilms I run a baseball organization and because of covid last year I needed to stream the games to my TH-cam Channel I used as many as 6 cameras and it worked really well with switcher studio. As you know you start to lose signal with IPads or Iphones at about 90 feet. I want to do a center field shot as the Money Shot like MLB games but the signal wont pick up from that distance. I thought if I got a good zoom camcorder linking it to another IPAD that I can do the share screen option giving me a great shot. What do you suggest that I use to extend the Wifi Signal to the main switcher studio about 380 feet away behind home plate without using hardwire? I see this Hollywood Mars Receiver and transmitter thing but think it has to be on its own wifi? Any suggestions to extend signal would be greatly appreciated.

    • @reelwordfilms8534

      Have you tried wireless boosters? You might be able to get a few of those and create a strong wireless link by attaching them in out of the way places. A more pricier option might be to get a wireless repeater with antennas, attach it maybe to the top of the batting area fence and you could cover the whole field. Just ideas...I only played little league baseball and I was always placed in right field...where nobody hit anything.
