@@Best.Snorkeling I understand. That's why the corals look so good. I was in the Marsa Alam area last November. It was OK, some bleached corals. This summer has obviously been really bad with several weeks with a water temperature over 30° C. Videos taken the last weeks look so sad.

This is terrible. Hopefully it will recover, we're planning to come back to red sea next spring.

We confirm this is off the hotel beach and we didn't have to pay for a boat excursion, this is all you can see just by snorkelling around the beautiful island "for free". If you'd like, you can also go for scuba diving but then you'll have to pay for it. There are also fabulous boat excursions to see giant manta rays and whale sharks.
