I'd be surprised if anyone managed to develop a hack or algorithm that was capable of perfecting this game, and there are some people with higher scores than me which i think is unbelievable as well! That being said, i have been able to translate some of my skill over from the earlier titles in the train conductor series which should be proof enough!

Hello! I'm a bit late to this but you've possibly found out already, but the game is F-Zero 99! it's only available on Nintendo switch for switch online members. If you want to know more, read below v v It's the battle royale take on the SNES version of F-Zero, which is also available for switch online F-Zero X from the Nintendo 64 is also available on switch online to my knowledge, and F-Zero GX to my knowledge is not available on switch, but it is a Nintendo Gamecube title (which can also be played on backwards compatible nintendo wiis!) if you don't have a nintendo console, you can take a look at some other Anti gravity racers like Wipeout, Redout, Pacer, BallisticNG, Antigraviator, and Aero GPX is expected to release later this year! Vehicle or machine is my go to. I know they're hovercrafts, so it's hard to think of them as cars. Gliders always means unpowered flight in my book, as an english speaker, so I don't call them that, though I know others do.

I like Machines

I prefer calling them machines, though I sometimes call them cars or vehicles out of habit. Calling them gliders or spaceships is a bit weird for me, personally, especially since they aren't actually flying through space.

They call them "machines" in the game so I'll keep calling them the correct term. Before I knew the term I called them hovercraft.

as of this comment i have ~45 wins and only have knight league trophy, so i wouldn't quite consider myself one of those players yet. that being said, i do try to recognize which players aren't as proficient at the game. if they're close to finishing, on low power and not a high rank i'll avoid crashing them out, unfortunately any earlier and i kind of have to take them out because it's either me, someone else or they hit a bumper/barrier and K.O themselves. I do wish there was a rear view option like with lucky bumpers, so then i'd be able to see who's behind me and let them get a win if they could, but unfortunately, chances are it's going to be another skilled player. The best place to start is to find which machine suits your playstyle the most. Learning where to use your skyway for extensions and maintaining speed are the most important factors of this game.

While yes, there are always going to be tryhards that win most grand prix, don't see them as these undefeatable monsters. I'm rank 20, 99+ wins and still crash out on a fair few occasions. Furthermore, your goal should be to beat your rivals. If you beat your rivals, then you've succeeded, and done a great job. And well, if you win over a rank 20, 99+ win player, then you can, with confidence, say you beat one of the best players in the world.

@@growen6474 True, But it is a little demotivating when there is several 99+ golden color racers. I am definitely getting better, with more consistent placements and more wins. Currently at S9 with 44 wins

Hey man, sometimes I just wanna have fun. Also git gud /j On a more serious note, this was frustrating for me as well, until I picked up all their tech and threw it back at them. Shit still does happen though, crashouts galore! Rank means little in the face of a well placed spin attack lol

I get where your coming from, since I started developing a similar mindset going into FZ99. But after a while I realized that keeping that head space was doing me no good. I knew I liked the game enough that I didn’t want to stop playing, so I stopped thinking about winning and focused more on how I was controlling my machine. I studied the strengths and weaknesses of each machine, the tracks, and the bumper pattern to gain more familiarity. I started the game (early October) finishing in top 50… fast forward to this month, now I’m always finish top 10, rarely do I ever go below that. Now I see that you posted this comment over 2 months ago, so you’ve probably improved a lot since then (if you haven’t stopped playing). So, to those who pass by my comment and are in a similar struggle: Don’t give up, and don’t let the 99+’s intimidate you. Instead, you should build up the desire to… show them yo moves! (xD) Let that desire motivate you to improve your skills and aim for glory! Sorry for the mini essay 😅I tried to crunch it down as best as I could. Btw my player tag is MODE 99. I am probably one of the rare Goose mains (it's my favored machine, otherwise I use them all depending on what I feel like... but I prefer goosing around in Mini/Grand Prixs) who won't go out of his way to KO someone in the final race of a Grand Prix, even if the opportunity is there. Sole exception is if I'm almost at power down and need the boost to survive (and even then I'll hope for a grey bumper), but otherwise I'm not looking for KOs at that point. But outside of Silence, White Land II, and Fire Field, yes, I will grate emotions wherever possible. ;)

@@Pichu-82 i honestly really can't argue against the favorite argument, by all means choose what you want if it makes you happy! at least for me, i tend to find a lot more golden foxes and gooses in the top positions then the other two
