Hi Morris 😎nice picks of CD'S. The Bee Gees CD is a good one of the early days, lots of great songs, I saw them in concert with a full orchestra and the show was just amazingly awesome, they were at the top of their bill and was before the disco days. The Moody Blues is excellent, one of my favorites of theirs is The Story In Your Eyes, love the rocking guitar sound and of course, love the bass line in the song.😎🎸
😎👍I do keep more of an open mind when looking for new and old music.
Thank you Morris for the shout out and the kind words. 🙏 Thank you for the feedback on the volume/audio. I knew that was going to be an issue. I do believe I'm going to need a stronger set up and be closer to the camera. I appreciate you checking out the channel in it's infancy. Great video today! ✌🏻
I remember when I first started out, it was terrible! You're already doing so much better in your video presentation, I'm sure you're going to grow faster than mine did.
@morrisgautreau6704 Thanks Morris. Well it's a learning process for the both of us. I've just tried to learn from all of you over the last several years and months of watching and put ideas in my head. Thank you again for the feedback. I know it takes time to grow.
@@RyBuys I say, focus only on the growth and don't worry when it doesn't. It's the positive feedback that makes it all worth doing. It can be hard, but still fun. I really enjoy doing it.
@@morrisgautreau6704 Yeah you're right. I just want to do this for fun and hope to help people find new music to listen to and on the flip side, they can share music with me.
Some interesting reviews, to be honest I prefer actual albums over compilations not for any real reason, just because although there are a couple artists where I only have the compilations such as the Animals.
I too prefer getting studio albums, but I have nothing against a good 'Greatest Hits', For some bands that's all I need.
I love Ween and Can more with every listen. It's like a drug!
It very much is! The bands I want to listen to over other music right now are: Sparks, KGLW, Can and still stuff from Belle And Sebastian, RUSH, My 50s and 60s compilations and the 'Maynard J. Keenan' stuff like TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. BUT, I have to get to listening to more of the other stuff more often, Like the Beatles, my newest purchases AND very select recommendations from other channels. There's a bit too much music to get to, but when I hear something extra special, I'm glad that I checked it out!
Sounds like you had a good day.. You are lucky to have a mall close by, my local one closed a few years ago..
Thank you, I had a great day! Sorry about your mall closing down. Moncton may not be much of a city, but it's okay for stuff like that. We had more malls a decade ago and now we pretty much just have the one.
@@morrisgautreau6704 online shopping is taking malls away. its a shame but it is what it is.
You're too kind, Morris. I can't wait for the picture you did of Glen Kellaway, ha ha! The Bee Gees are great! Good Moody Blues album from what I've heard but I need to get their later ones still. You definetly will enjoy the albums that came after Days Of Future Passed, my favorite probably being In Search of the Lost Chord. Can Singles is excellent!
That Can CD is excellent, covers their whole career. I never bother with the live albums as they are audience recordings, decent sound but just not for me...
I'll be playing the Can very soon. Good to know about the Live albums, I'm going to stick with the studio albums.
Really cool to see you out and about. It's something I could never do unless I knew I'd be alone to be honest. Hope you had a great Christmas!
I'll record wherever I can, as long as I have something to say or something cool to show you. I'm having happy holidays this year. Hope you're having a good one too.
Love the pick up videos. Also wanted to thank you for the inspiration to finally make my music channel. It's your channel and a few others that got me off my butt to do it. So thank you! My first video got uploaded about an hour ago. ✌🏻
Sound good! I'm going to check it out.
To be honest besides Can I am not familiar with the bands you bought besides the hit singles. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the Moody Blues album especially.
I'm thinking of doing a video of my reviews of all the albums I bought this year. Well, at least, as many as I can remember.
I like Can, Future Days I definitely need to check out more of their stuff but there are also many artists to say that about.
Future Days is an album that keeps getting better the more I play it. I definitely want to get more of their studio albums.
Hey Morris..I just got my first King Gizzard album..I have seen a lot of live Can albums in my travels recently..enjoy your day buddy👍❤glen
Thank you Glen! King Gizzard do have a lot of albums you're really going to like, but they also have some really heavy metal albums you might also like. They're really fantastic musicians that can play any different genre of music and kill it. They're awesome!
Cool rankings even though I've never listened to their albums, I have liked the songs I have heard quite a bit. Just so much music I am already into and it's hard to listen to it all.
To be honest I have never listened to this band, but I would be interested in checking them out although currently they would be at the bottom of my list.
@@ethan-c093 I would just start with the ones in the S-tier and then go from there.
Hey Moe! I've been binging your stuff and I'm also a huge fan of Bella and Sebastian!! I'm a bit biased to Tigermilk since that's the first album I heard by them, so I'd say that's my favourite album. I was wondering if you've heard of the Soviet rock/synthrock band Kino? If not you should definitely check them out. Viktor Tsoi was amazing
I will have to check out Kino. I can understand Tigermilk having a special connection, being your first B&S album. For me, of course, it was 'Arab Strap' for years before hearing anything else by them. They are my 5th favorite band.
I keep telling myself to purchase some Belle and Sebastian but when I have money to do so, I forget about them and buy something other ,but I will get some soon. 😊🎸
You'll come to love them! They make great easy listening music.
KMFDM, worth it just for Aiden BRUTE Hughes cover art... I contemplate collecting them all. Angst was the first one I bought on CD, Many earlier on cassette. The same year I bought my first CD player. Was already collecting cassettes since 84 or 85. Ans still buying cassettes up until about 97 (and probably recording on cassette till 01)when I fully switched to CD.
Thank you! I love reading great comments like this. I can tell you're a big and serious fan of good music. It wouldn't be KMFDM without Brute, 'Nihil' being the only outlier!
High Morris! 😄
Nice and toasty! ☺

To be honest I do not know much from Ween besides their song Ocean Man, but I think that is a pretty good song.
I'm very much into weird music and from what I played so far, I'm loving it. I will be playing it all tonight in the headphones.
Santa came early! It just arrived early, ha ha... You might need to smoke something funny when listening to it. Merry Christmas!
The second I saw what it was, I knew exactly who sent it! Thank you very much! I've played about 8 songs so far, but I will be playing it in the headphones tonight for sure. I really do like it so far. 🎀❤😊👍
@@morrisgautreau6704 It will get better with every listen. This is known as their "brown" period... production isn't great but I still love the sound, and later their albums sounded much better and were still amazing. I just ignore the lyrics as a lot of it is silly, but they are very talented. Enjoy!
It's not from Larry!!it's from freaking Santa Claus!!!!!Ha ha ha. 😂
It's a great gift and I really love it!
Very nice of Larry. 👍😎
I'm 49 years old and I pretty much don't care much for anything that's come out since Radiohead's OK Computer. The music industry took a dump after that album came out and it's never recovered.
@@PatOD75 For the most, that is so true! There are very very few exceptions.
This is your brain 🧠 on drugs 😅😂
Tool, Sparks, King Gizzard, Rush and Belle And Sebastian. Five immaculate musical choices.
Thank you! I try to cultivate a bit of sophistication with my taste in music. I just love great music.
Thanks Morris! I don't mind King Gizzard releasing so many albums as they are all really well done. Your artwork is so good! Congrats!! P.S. Sparks in third place is fine by me!
I felt bad for Sparks, I really wanted them at second place. 😜
My top 5 artists (as of recently not specifically of all time) are 1. Black Sabbath (Will always be #1 no matter what) 2. The Who 3. The Scorpions 4. Emerson Lake and Palmer 5. Led Zeppelin and with all these examples they do not really have that many albums except Black Sabbath and the scorpions I guess, so overall I would say I agree with quality over quantity.
I can understand, those are all great bands. I have a couple of Scorpions and Zeppelin CDS, but need to get more of those other bands.

what a "good morning" discussion.
Thank you! It was a topic close to my heart.
Beat Happening always annoyed me. That guys deep voice sounded like he was trying to swoon a silverback gorilla.
Propaganda is the best Sparks album hands down, and the album cover is my personal favorite.
@@OpentheEffinGate I did a ranking of the Sparks covers a couple of days ago. That album and its cover are also both my favorites! It's the most quintessential album in their career.
I'm not a KISS fan, but I have to say that the band has many goods songs, and more than many other bands what ger more praise.
I definitely agree with the idea of keeping an open mind. As a movie fan it makes me sad to see people ignore some great silent and black and white films just because they are old. If people were to give them a chance they would find many great films.
@@ethan-c093 there are some fantastic black and white movies, one example I can think of is Metropolis.
I think my biggest problem with music these days is that a lot of the best it has to offer is actually kinda hard to find. Black Midi are a band who are maybe my favourite to come out of the past 5 years (they broke up earlier this year) and Geordie Greep, their lead singer has made a new record this year and it's among the best I've heard in the 2020's. However, I don't think I ever really see people outside of RYM users or Anthony Fantano talking about them. Anthony interviewed Geordie a week or so after his album released in October but generally speaking his fame is a fraction of what I believe he and Black Midi deserves. As Rick Beato said, everyone knows who Taylor Swift is but most people don't really know her music. I think for Black Midi they're only held back because their music isn't instantly digestible. It's quite a challenging listen if your musical palette is limited to the modern pop scene of Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish or Sabrina Carpenter. For me, you need to be open minded enough to be willing to give modern bands a go. You might listen to 10 shit ones before you get 1 good band but there are great bands out there. You just need to find them.
@@SomeoneElsesNostalgia I couldn't agree more!!!
I agree with Rick 100%😎👍
@@raynaRobichaud I knew you would, you have great taste in music!
Tks, so do you. 😎👍

I've been frustrated with many things about TH-cam for years, in fact ever since Google bought TH-cam... but like Scot said you are doing great! I think the only videos we should see in the sidebar and for channels we are subscribed to! P.S. Rhett and Link have been doing great content for many years. They are one of the funniest channels on TH-cam. If you don't like a channel or video, click on the 3 dots and choose "not interested".

@@morrisgautreau6704 and good!
I'm technically Gen Z as I was born in '99, but I've always found the really fast edits to be too in your face and obnoxious. If you're just getting a lot of flash in your face it's harder to appreciate. If I'm to relate this point back to music, you don't appreciate the crescendos that happen in music without the build to reach that point. I hate things being forced into my face without any reason or explanation to why. To me, a big part of the appeal of your channel and a lot of channels in this space on TH-cam, is that it is just an individual, a passion and their camera. That reminds me of the old days on TH-cam when it was just people expressing their thoughts and feelings in the most raw fashion imaginable. To me that has it's own charm, and although I appreciate a well edited video essay too, I just think there's something special about the unedited raw expression that these videos have.
@@SomeoneElsesNostalgia Well you are definitely one of the good ones and I appreciate you, thank you!
I have thought about making TH-cam videos, however I would not know what to make videos besides Jeff Beck and Black Sabbath but even then there are only so many things I can talk about with those 2. Definitely agree with you about TH-cam being addictive I have definitely been wanting to do something but I also want to watch on more video which turns into multiple and then I have no time definitely need to work on my self control haha.
