I have an additional question, If I want to also import special letters (just choosen ones) and they are not one after the other in program - Ą, Ł, Ę etc, there are other symbols betweeen which I'm not planing to make - how to go about it? If can I just number them for example 120, 122, 125 etc leaving the ones I don't have blank? Would that work?

Yeah, that should produce all pairs already touching each other, yet some pairs are not touching. Why is that? It would save me one year of work if they were all produced touching.

Hi @_retr0 thank you for your videos on TH-cam. I have a question about how to build kern pairs in FontForge. I'm a little confused about FontForge's naming of things and structure. My understanding so far is that the kerning data for the kern pairings is stored in lookup tables that FontForge can create and read. What I am not sure about is how to structure the tables within FontForge because the software allows for the creation of a lookup table and then a subtable that is somewhat like a child of the parent lookup table. For example, should the GPOS tab have just one parent lookup table and then children for up -> up; up -> low; low -> low; up -> punc; low -> punc? Or should there be a parent table for each of those pairings such that each parent has just one child?

Just in case anyone encounters the problem I had, here it goes: When I am in the kerning menu that you are in at 2:32 - 3:35, there is no "OK" button to save the changes. I can't scroll down to see it and it appears nowhere else in the window. But I found a way to select OK without seeing it. If you change and entry and hit enter, then it goes to the next entry. But if you change an entry and then uncheck "hide unused columns" and then recheck it, and then hit "enter" then enter clicks OK , saves it, and closes the window. You don't have to do this after every entry. You can change as many as you want do this and it will save it all.

why would you set the auto width to zero befor auto kerning? my letters were glued onto each other. So i set it back to seperation 50. But min and max i ignored. For some letters like P and T i had to correct the auto kerning afterwards. But it helped a lot. Thank you!

Hi, I was wondering how you set the SVG to appear in the centre of the box when importing? Every time I import an SVG it's blank... I have to double click on the box which opens up the design window to then move it manually to the centre. Once I've done that it's visible in the box. Your way looks loads quicker haha.

is there any quick way to select all the pairs so I can change the distance at once?
