Birthday in the Bahamas Vlog, May 2024
I was on a mission to find a birthday card for Jerry but I didn't forget to stop and video the grounds of our resort. Just beautiful!

We decided to take a quick trip to Nassau for Jerry's birthday. We booked the Margaritaville resort but they upgraded us to their One Peticular Harbor property right nect door. It was a nice surprise after a grueling flight.

We had time to see some sights in Kodiak on our last day because we had an afternoon flight. We also had a long layover in Anchorage and took a night flight to Chicago before finally getting home to Tampa.

In case it's not evident, or confusing, there are two boat harbors and two cannery rows. One boat harbor is in downtown Kodiak and the other is over on Near Island. Cannery row is split in two by the Harbormaster office and Oscar's Dock,

This trip was for a purpose as opposed to vacation. For other people's privacy, I didn't film this day. Instead, I took stills to share with you! Sorry, I didn't add any music, but nothing sounded quite right for such a variety of shots.

We walked along cannery row looking at marine hardware stores, did some video from the dock, went to the hospital to visit a friend, a trip to Safeway, and then to dinner with friends. Just poking around the downtown mostly!

First, sorry about the wind noise. It was very breezy and at times I thought I was turned to avoid the wind but it didn't work. Second, this will be the last video of his cruise. The next two days were sea days and I didn't get enough interesting video to present anything of quality. Finally, hope you enjoyed this series because we really had a blast!
Celebrity Constellation Feb 2024 Vlog: Weather In Belize
มุมมอง 2472 หลายเดือนก่อน
We had an extravagant excursion planned in Belize and we were looking forward to it. But, not enough to do it in sketchy weather. We stayed on the ship, relaxed, ate too much, and listened to music. Sometimes it's nice to stay on the ship when the majority of folks hit the port - plenty of room everywhere.

Days 7 & 8 of our cruise were a sea day and a stop at the port in Roatan Honduras. A surprise to us, this was a different port than we've been to in the past. So, I decided to just film the port area and will venture out on a future trip to Roatan.

We spent Ash Wednesday on the ship trying to rest up and warm up from the parades and unusually cold weather in Nola. Next day we had to do some shopping off the ship but we were back in time for Valentine festivities including participating in a group vow renewal. I really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful sale away from New Orleans and the Mississippi River enroute to the Caribbean. We were looking...

Fantastic day on the ship! I don't think the video really captured the excitement and fun in the air as the crew made the entire ship into one huge supeerbowl party! Well done Celebrity, well done.

Wow that's a beautiful resort and a fabulous view. Hope Jerry enjoyed his birthday. Not sure why it tickled me so much, but loved seeing you out on the balcony enjoying your real coffee ☕ I would be doing the same. Hope the lazy river was fun, have never done one, but it seems like a fun way to stay cool❤
it was beautiful and so relaxing. i will have some video of it later i think. i took a lot! lol, i almost cut the coffee time out but decided to keep it real since its a vlog.s
Long travelling day.
it was brutal. after missing our flight in Miami, the “new” flight was delayed 6 times and changed gates 5 times. the Miami airport is to big to keep moving from gate to gate. there was a fire causing smoke at the nassau airport runway.
@@cruiserella2899 All very strange I would say. Must have been some mechanical issue behind the scene. Racing from one gate to another is fine is you are an 18 year old sprinter.
Hey, My name is Abu Bokkur and I'm a TH-cam growth specialist. I have been following your TH-cam channel for some weeks. I can see your video quality is excellent, and your thumbnail designs are eye-catching-clearly, a lot of effort goes into each upload but your channel growth is not good. you do not get enough video views and subscribers. So, If you have permission, I will share some tips that can help your channel video views and subscribers increase. Have a nice day!
Just wait until you see the grounds of this resort. They are beautiful.
lol, commenting to myself since i seldom get comments in this channel.
I am a member of the Piano Barbarians, and know alot of the Piano players. I wasn't there on that cruise. I will be on the Pride next May.
so it was a group??? do you all play piano or just fancy piano bars?
@@cruiserella2899 its fans and piano players, i play Harmonica and sit in.
@@packyrat well it sure looks fun!
I’ve never seen a tub on any ship. We will be in the 12th floor with a balcony in November 17-24. I thought this ship only had showers?
we’ve had quite a few with tubs but shower only is def more common.
@ our bathroom was terribly small. Maybe because we booked at last minute.
So glad to hear from you!
thank you. we were without internet for so long.
I’m glad to hear from you Vickie and to know that you didn’t have much damage. I knew you were in the path of Milton and was worrying. Take care!
Thanks so much!
No, I didn’t hear the language…so no offense…oh, I just realized that you would have caught it in editing and deleted it duh 🙄 I enjoyed watching very much thanks
i kept turning it up during editing but his words didn't come through luckily. I always tell people I'm not offended by cuss words because I lived in a commercial fishing town, lol.
How was the noise? Any disturbances?
I don't recall any issues. A perfect cruise!
Must be first class
yup, we typically don't but at our age, and on such a long flight, we thought comfort would be important.
We go in December and I’m so excited!! Thanks for the videos 😊
Have fun! we are going again in February. such a relaxed vibe.
Was it hot at night?
typically it’s cold in a cruise ship. i’ve never had a hot room. there is a thermostat in each cabin.
Hey girl. How did you come through the storm? Hope everything is OK.
about to write a community post now. thanks for asking!
I have a friend who lives in Belize. Establishing a plantation/farm. It is a beautiful island, but if you have been there before you don't really need to go again, especially on a crumby weather day. It is so hot there when the sun shines. Hot & humid, but you are used to that, I just melt into a puddle.
Enjoyed seeing this! We are going all the way through the canal next April. Have you done that and if so, do you go though the lake and locks on the other side or go through a different lock? Saw the Orincess in a different place.
thats’s cool! i think i might like to do that sometime even though it does involve airfare. we’ve done the partial twice (does that count as a whole? lol) once on Emerald Princess and in this ship the Carnival Pride. Princess had excursions into Panama, Carnival did not. we are going again in January on Norwegian Jewel but again a partial.
Thanks Vickie. This was interesting. 👋
One benefit to posting late is that it's like I completely relive it again!
Yes…I hear the wind!
that's why cruising in January is less crowded and cheaper!
I am confused.......no I am not, just noticed its from January. Was your first meal chicken or fish. Looked good.
you caught me! i did upload out of order. I have two more "old" cruises to edit and then I will do our recent August cruise. It was most likely fish. I am a huge seafood fan. I usually only order chicken if I am not feeling great or I don't like anything on the menu. The food was surprisingly good! This is an older, smaller ship and Carnival isn't known for food but this crew did a great job! Also, you may find some of these videos shorter or covering less detail than other cruises I've filmed. That's because we traveled with family and spent time with them and wanted to be respectful of their privacy.
@@cruiserella2899 Yes I remember you mentioning this trip.
where is that fish feeding?
the boardwalk in key west. we’ve spent the day just walking that board walk and stopping for shopping, drink and eats while feeding the fish from a restaurant or watching the commercial fisherman, it’s good cheap fun!
Formica counter tops? 60's
pretty standard cruise ship counter tops whatever it is. gotta be able to wipe it down and disinfect
May I ask what the average cost for this room would be??
Lots of factors - timing of booking, time of year, itinerary, etc. But this is what we paid for the two of us: Cruise Rate $3,034.00 Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses $236.08 Total Cruise Charges $3,270.08
@@cruiserella2899 Great...that's very helpful. Thank you! :o)
Thanks for the tour…I have that exact room booked for next year 😂😂😂
You'll find it comfy and spacious. Except for the bathroom - that's small.
The bird watercolours are beautiful.
I think so too! If it werem't6 for the artwork, I wouldn't have done that last video.
So I am thinking you didn't crack the Natalie Holloway case while you were there. When the name Aruba comes up, that is what always comes to my mind first. 😪
Me too - sad but true. My second thought is always when are the Scientologists gonna move the Freewinds.
@@cruiserella2899 Maybe we should give Tom Cruise a dingle or text and ask him. Do you have his number? 😂
A pool exclusively for the staff/crew?
Yes, some ships have them and/or a hot tub. They usually aren't very big. They also have bars for the crew.
@@cruiserella2899 Well…my family never mentioned that to me. Two sisters and one brother and not one told me 😆 I’m the only one that doesn’t cruise. I always get them to send videos to show me around their room and the ship. My youngest sister is now totally loyal to Princess and she is good about taking videos…like you. I get to see the world through them.
Beautiful! Just so beautiful there!
It really is. I have some older videos where we go to a beach there and those are beautiful too.
So I’m assuming the rooms were ready when you got your food? (Since I see people with suitcases?) just wondering if I’ll have to pull mines along with food trays as well?
Like most cruise lines, the rooms were ready around 1pm if I recall correctly. Just enough time to eat, find the reservations set up, make reservations, then grab a drink from the bar before the room were ready. We check our bags so the only thing we had to lug around was our carry-ons which have the non-checkable stuff like medicines. The good news was when we got to our rooms, everyone's luggage was waiting on them (at least on our floor). Oh, and don't take your boarding tags off your luggage because they use the same ones for debarkation. That cruise line is organized!
@@cruiserella2899 thank you!!! I’ve only been a few cruises and it was with another line
@@GraceArie upi'll find it's similar to other cruise lines on the Islander but I can't speak to their other ship on the east coast. where they could upgrade is technology. you can't do stuff through an app or the TV. the Crew is fantastic!
very clean i like that couch should be perfect though i think!
thank you! i have to try a cruise!
We did an interior cabin. If you're "fluffy"...it's tight. Balcony cabin doesn't look like much more....
it’s a pretty good space in the couch vanity area. the closet/bathroom hall area is for one at a time only.
Thanks for the peak into you're cabin! Safe trip!!
thanks! we are almost home.
I am assigned to this room this fall on cruise to Canada. My concern is pool above…was this room quiet? Just got off HAL Koningsdam…cabin # 4149. Annoying repetitive noise and extreme vibrating when moving. It was awful! Great content!
i don’t recall any specific noise either time we stayed in a club balcony suite. both were pretty far forward. sorry you had bad experience on koningsdam. i’ve been on it twice and think it may be my favorite ship although but my favorite rooms ever.
@@cruiserella2899 Thanks so much for this info…other than the vibrating and repetitive noise I loved the Koningsdam. The route from Vancouver BC to Alaska was great. I had cruised from Seattle in April on the Bliss but did not see Glacier Bay so I just went again! I didn’t know I was “a cruiser”…😹! Looking forward to seeing the Maritimes of Canada on the Jade. Cruising is an absolutely fun way to travel!
@@LuckyLarry we did that same vancouver trip that included glacier bay. i wanna do the seattle one next because it’s a little different…with sitka i believe.
@@cruiserella2899 I loved Sitka. The National Park Service Has a wonderful place to explore…free! The Sitka National Historic Site. Beautiful walking paths under old growth cedars and spruces and Totems. Then there’s the cute town with Russian history.
Hardly anyone in the pool area on the Canadian cruise. Not many kids either. Very nice, relaxing cruise.
Great video, thank you! Can't wait to board in 3 weeks!!
We really liked it and rebooked for February! Also, a tip. Don' remove your cruise line embarkation bag tags when you unpack. They use the same ones for debarkation. Clever and less waste.
Nice! Thanks for the video. Going to make an offer to upgrade to a club balcony 😊
Good choice!
have you been to Ecuador? If not maybe a cruise that goes there. Zillions of orchids everywhere.
I haven't bu I'm up for anything. We do have a couple new ports upcoming this fall/winter.
Hi, Vicki! I recognize my home state’s gems! 🏝️ 🏖️ What cruise ship was it again? That’s a nice itinerary! I’m glad you’d having fun! Pretty bracelet! 🎉
We were on the Norwegian Jade. The Itinerary was awesome - Barbados & Grenada to come! We took the cruise in November (I had problem opening files I transferred from phone) so I am way behind on posting, and I have worn the bracelet almost every day since. We have two Norwegian cruises scheduled for this winter that also have good itineraries.
@@cruiserella2899 Wonderful! Will you be using the same line? Where will you be visiting? I have my Christmas/New Year’s Caribbean cruise on Celebrity Eclipse. I can’t wait! Keep up the good work! 🏖️🌟🏝️ 🛳️
Lots of big ships in Port.
Yes! And ships/brands I never or seldom see. What's interesting, and I cut it out of the video because it's more relevant to upcoming Barbados & Grenada, is that these Caribbean ports are sometimes embarkation or debarkation ports. Most of the US departure cruises I take are round trips so it's odd to see people getting on and off in all these ports. But in parts of the Caribbean they sometimes use them as transportation when they want to visit and stay on another island.
Pretty bracelet.
thanks. i wear it pretty much everyday
😊👋
I love going to St.John Jan to Early April. Blue sky's rarely rains!
I will def go back some time. I could see it's beautiful even in inclement weather. Now I gotta go check my Jan - April cruises to see if we are going back to St Thomas!
Meghan is very scary........oh you don't mean THAT Meghan. I always enjoy seeing the menu choices.
that went over my head but it was Dec when i saw the movie
Hi Vickey! Key west is so beautiful! I hope to go back to Florida some day! My husband and i lived in Cape coral for 4 years then got hit by that hurricane! We loved living out there though! Came to CA to be in our grandkids lives theres 8 of them LILS! and they missed us!!, but we sure do miss Florida! Thank you for sharing your trip!
aww, so glad you enjoyed it and it brought back memories. those grand kids are quite compelling from what I've seen! lol
Key west, the florida keys in general is imo paradise without a passport for us mainlanders. I live in fort myers fl where we have a boat that goes back and forth to key west daily. Key west out of all the keys sees more sunshine, and less rain annually than the rest of the keys do. I love it there. Whenever i get the chance, i go to stay for a week or so to clear my head and replenish my spirit. Although i have God for that, he made a place for me to go to and enjoy make it easier for me to see the beauty in this world.
we’ve stayed in Marathon and that was serene.
Incredible! Did rays and sharks come in natually (with bait of course) or were they enclosed?
yes. they were wild with no enclosure. guessing people have been going there for years with food just like other spots in the Caribbean
I’ll be on this ship in May also in ocean view room - looks great!
It's def small but the mirrors and light walls and furnishing helps to make it not feel closed in. We enjoyed it so we've since been on it again and have a third cruise scheduled!
I have been having fun choosing what I would pick from the menus that you show us, and see if you have chosen the same. Silly I know.
sounds exactly like something i would do!! at best inch i forgot to film it but i got my usual brunch hervos rancheros
Jimmy Buffet fans are also known as Parrot Heads, which is why you're seeing a parrot theme, they're paying homage to his fans.
parrots, flip flops, and margaritas galore. an eatery called Mexican cutie, buffet is called port is indecision. very well themed.
