      @@luchetto486 i was an engine engineer, overhauling combustion engines, small and large Running in means as first item smoothing by running in the cylinder walls and pistonrings ! Avoid long term high power output and high revs. Handle the new or " reborn " engine with care. Plateau honing is a great step forward to decrease tge running in time! De cylinder walls after reboring and honing are a lot smoother. That's a very big plus

      ​@@adwest68 I always waited around 3000 km before reaching high revs. Racing engines take less time than road engines to break in. This is a race engine. It's all about the engine clearance/play and project. If you are an engineer you will understand what I wrote.

      As close as possible to the exhaust manifold. If you have the oem exhaust line I recommend welding the nipple as soon as the pipe becomes single so after 2-1.

    Salve, vedo che é molto ferrato con la Fulvia, spero mi possa dare una mano, ho 25 anni e ho comprato da poco una 1.3s seconda serie, ho fatto rettificare la testata, ieri l' ho rimontata con la sua guarnzione nuova e con gli alberi a camme in posizione di fase con i suoi cappellotti, il motore è con segni sul volano e sul blocco 0 e 1/4 coincidenti quindi pistoni 1 e 4 al pms, tutto come da manuale Lancia... il problema peró è che non riesco a rimettere su le pulegge dentate insieme alla catena di distribuzione, se posiziono una ruota dentata l'altra non riesco a farla arrivare in sede, premetto che il tenditore della catena è tenuto arretrato da un perno come da manuale. È normale che sia cosi scomoda questa procedura e che quindi bisogna forzare la seconda ruota dentata con la catena in posizione sull'albero a camme o c'è qualcosa di sbagliato ?

      Salve, la procedura che hai descritto è corretta . Nonostante il tenditore sia in posizione arretrata scaricata per non forzare sulla catena questa risulterà sempre difficile nella chiusura della falsamaglia specie se è nuova. Prima cosa è bene svitare i registri delle punterie che puoi regolare una volta accertato il corretto allineamento della fase. Per il 1.3 s con il sistema distribuzione a pulegge monoforo è difficile sbagliare ma con il variabile o Vernier è bene fare piu' attenzione. Consiglio di posizionare la catena su entrambe le corone dentate chiaramente avendo cura di non sbagliare dente di fase fissandola con una fascetta . In questo modo si evita un possibile salto del dente o peggio ancora che scenda giu' nella cavità. Per infilare la falsamaglia è consigliabile l'aiuto di un collaboratore. Dal dado di fissaggio della corona camme di aspirazione , quello a sinistra avendo davanti il motore, con una bussola e cricchetto giri in senso orario quel tanto per metterla in tensione con quella di destra il tuo collaboratore fa altrettanto in senso antiorario. Dimenticavo metti un pezzo di carta che chiude la cavità perchè potrebbe sfuggire qualche elemento da infilare nei perni della falsamaglia. La parte aperta del fermo di chiusura falsamaglia deve essere rivolta opposta al senso di rotazione. Buon lavoro.

      Fulvia 1.3S speedometer with 11/43 five speed gearbox should indicate 100 km/h at 3500 rpm 5th gear. Probably won't be precise but it's a negligible detail when you know gear ratio. That's not far off the actual speed in the fastest sections I was in 5th gear at 4800/5200 rpm Engine rpm are electronically controlled. What I read on the original instrument or VDO rpm gauge is the same as on the USB interface connected to the 123 Tune ignition distributor.

      Piu' o meno siamo sui 8000 in 2° marcia 7800 in 3° e via dicendo. No nessuna prova per il momento attendo la completa stabilità e la massima prestazione che ho sempre raggiunto dopo i 4000/ 5000 km di rodaggio. Vedremo piu' avanti . Non aspettarti stravolgimenti sono sempre cambiamenti moderati ma percepibili. Se guardi a ritroso nei video potrai farti un idea di quanto era "legato" inizialmente.

      @@paolopetrini6867 Mi sono sempre impegnato per raggiungere una buona coppia ed una erogazione progressiva fluida. Se devo essere sincero non sono curioso di conoscere la massima potenza ma piuttosto la curva di coppia. Per la potenza pura ho dei camme 330°/330 alzata 11mm ma su strada cosa te ne fai se devi tenere su di giri sempre dai 5000 in poi ? Ne ho anche una via di mezzo tra i 330° e quelli attualmente montati. Ora ho dei 322°/314° alzata 10.3 mm gr4 che vorrei sostituire con dei gara 320/320 alzata 11 mm. Fermo restando che la coperta è corta per cui è tutto da valutare svantaggi/benefici.

    Riporto un resoconto parziale di cosa ho riscontrato con questo box filtro rispetto quello aperto stradivari o simili e tromboncini liberi. Immediatamente si avrà un arricchimento complessivo che farebbe pensare a meno aria. E bene non è cosi perchè il carburatore funziona a depressione per cui oltre alla questione temperatura c'è da valutare la fluidodinamica e la velocità dei flussi. Piu' è veloce rapido piu' benzina si trascina quando passa per i centratori del carburatore. Fermo restando che devo ancora comprendere a pieno le potenzialità posso dire con certezza che oltre ad aspirare aria piu' fresca , trovando giovamento nelle temperature complessive del refrigerante e olio motore, sono riuscito ad avere prestazioni migliori calando di 10 punti l'arricchimento col freno aria. Questo sta a significare che con meno benzina il motore ha pari o superiore rendimento Quando avrò terminato tutte le prove tornerò a documentare.

    Isnt it a shame to mute the carbs with a filter box? I would leave the air horns out with the foam filter as I have, much better sound.

      Yes sound is more pleasant but performance decreases as engine compartment temperature increases. A closed filter box modified internally with 80mm intake pipe placed in the cooler lower area is best for any naturally aspirated engine. it should make everything much more stable especially in carburetion which inevitably cannot be achieved with open cones or filters. In competitions with Fulvia, conveyors placed under the front mask are used to receive forced fresh air

    interessante. visto che hai il misuratore di rapporto aria benzina, puoi fare le misure sitema tradizionale nuovo sistema. penso che molti siano ineressati a vedere il "ripieno"

      Credo sia molto difficile valutare con AFR perchè l'alimentazione a carburatori è di per se molto variabile a seconda della temperatura esterna umidità etc etc. oltretutto è un motore gruppo 4 per cui la comparazione col precedente filtro , che era uno stradivari aperto sandwich con due piastre, non è considerabile come un punto di riferimento. Conoscendo come lavora lambda e afr un tentativo lo faccio ma non garantisco.😆😅

      Dentro uso la cartuccia originale con cornetti e parafiamma . Per tenere il filtro va fatta una piastra della stessa dimensione della cartuccia . Sul coperchio di chiusura va eliminata la paratia interna e la proboscide originale . Senza paratia togli anche il binario dove è incollata la guarnizione e la possibilità di tenere ferma la cartuccia filtro. Vanno fatte due colonnine al tornio a misura così il coperchio va a premere sulla piastra che tiene la cartuccia. Saldata una fettuccia in metallo per rifare il binario della guarnizione ed infine il tubo da 80 mm. Senza una saldatrice tig o mig fai un disastro perché le lamiere sono sottili.

      A dire la verità è un montaggio "fresco" in tutti i sensi 😄. L'aria viene aspirata nella parte bassa tra passaruota e telaio ausiliario. Non ho ancora provato e probabilmente più che un guadagno prestazionale mi aspetto minore perdita quando il vano motore diventa rovente . Sempre col beneficio del dubbio dopo aver verificato ritoccato l'arricchimento spero di percepire qualcosa in più in potenza . In ogni caso per completezza di informazione del box originale ci sono solo i due gusci . Internamente è modificato così come la" proboscide" portata a 80mm e poi collegata al tubo flessibile . Come ho possibilità di fare comparazioni serie riporto qui il mio parere.

      Le compte-tours est précis, le moteur dépasse l'échelle maximale. A côté de l'instrumentation d'origine se trouve un tachymètre VDO 0-8000

      @@vr4ever645 spiega cosa intendi non ho compreso. Diciamo che dovrebbe bastare l'orecchio per capire su quale range di giri sta un motore aspirato questo chiaramente se lo conosci. Dato che c'è sempre diffidenza ti mostro gli 8000 giri con il motore precedente cilindrata 1.3 parecchio fuori carburazione...th-cam.com/video/LebQ4vKmaFo/w-d-xo.html . Il motore attuale 1401 cc non solo raggiunge gli 8000 ma li supera di qualcosa ed in maniera rapida. Capisci che dopo 1700 km dalla ricostruzione devo tenere il motore un po' grasso inoltre non potrà mai raggiungere quel regime in 4° o in 5° marcia. Magari piu' avanti faro' nuovi video dove inquadro per bene anche il VDO. Saluti

      @@tigerzero9939 Only for traction type (FWD)and chassis. Leaf spring suspension geometries are not ideal. Motorcycle engines are good on prototypes that only have vintage cars bodywork and everything else engineered today.

      You also have to contend with the issue of motorcycle engine cases not being designed for the pressures and thrust associated with automotive clutch/pressure plate assemblies nor the increased weight of a car. Modifications to the case, main caps, main bearings and/or a installing a thrust bearing maybe required to prevent crank walk and case failure

      100-200 about 11 sec TDI 1.9 they aren't possibile with less than 260/270 hp. some say almost 300 hp with this time 100-200. But Is a bullshit

      Erano i cavi candele. Un kit appena comprato marca Beru difettoso che disperdeva lato bobine . Vai a pensare che materiale nuovo possa creare lo stesso problema dei vecchi cavi Mi sono accorto della dispersione guardando il vano motore praticamente al buio.

      @@loubequet3862 mi spiace contraddirti ma è un V4 con canne a 6° 26' 44" . Giusto per i carburatori due doppio corpo. Questo nel video è il 1401 gruppo 4 ovvero il 1.400 cc utilizzato anche dalla squadra corse Lancia prima del passaggio al 1.6 HF .

      Si continuero' ad andarci piano fino alla percorrenza di 3000 km . Questo era un test isolato per capire quale arricchimento vuole il motore. Mi sono reso conto inoltre che era magra per questo faceva fatica. Al prossimo video 😅

      He still has a disappointing performance. As I was saying, before 5000 km the engine is "braked" in the high rpm range

      I really hope it's up to it. It's a nuisance not being able to press in full load. These engines start to perform 5000km after rebuild

      @@luchetto486 That’s a lot of kilometres. Are you saying that you cannot drive it hard until then, or just that the engine will not perform at its best until then? I don’t think I would have the patience to wait that long before I drove it pretty hard!

      @@luchetto486 I guess the tolerances are so fine that the rotating and reciprocating parts need longer to bed in. Apart from the engine and exhaust system, have you changed anything else (brake discs, shock absorbers, wheels, front wheel camber)?
