Hi Nancy, our films are permanent. They can be removed, but it will take some effort. You might want to consider a temporary window film like a static cling film. We don't offer those but you should be able to find one with a quick Google search!

    What happens at night?

At night you will be able to see through the film. Transparent privacy film can only ever provide daytime privacy because it works by creating a one-way mirror effect when it is brighter outside than inside. People use transparent privacy film when they want daytime privacy but want to keep light coming into their space and they want to preserve their views to the outside. At night time folks will often then close the blinds/curtains/shades. I hope this helps!

In the evening, when it’s dark out, and you have the light on in the he room it would be as if you had no window coverings. Everyone can see in and you wouldn’t be able to see out.

@truthseeker5496 you are right. All transparent window film can only offer daytime privacy because the film creates a one way mirror effect when it is brighter outside than in. Customers who purchase our film are generally looking to add privacy in the day while keeping their views and light coming in. Then at night when those things aren't as important, they will use shades/curtains/blinds/etc. We do have an opaque film called Matte White Privacy that provides both day and night time privacy, but it blocks views.

Or you buy the real Deal And get a tint on the outside that blocks UV and Heat

Hi JD-gr2lu! Thanks for the comment. Actually, almost all residential window films are made to be installed on the inside of the windows, not the outside. The UV blockers are in the adhesive, not the film so it's important for them to be between the sun (and of course your home) but also the film to protect the film from UV damage. Films that are installed on the inside last longer and are easier to install (no ladders to the second floor!). There are some films out there that are made to be installed on the outside like anti-graffitti film and some solar control films where access to windows in a large commercial building or skyscraper is limited - either because the building is occupied and it would be too disruptive or some of the glass is behind walls or has equipment in front of it. But in general, the majority of professionally installed residential films are made to be installed on the interior. Also, our film is the real deal :) It does block UV rays and provide heat rejection. You can see our film's performance specs here: windowfilm.com/technology/product-specifications/ Happy to talk more about it! Thanks
