Vadim Andreev I Piano
Vadim Andreev was born in 1962 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan on the Caspian Sea. He graduated from the Special Music School at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and then continued his studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Despite his classical training, his lifelong passion for jazz has played a significant role since his early youth.
Between 1980 and 1989, he toured with various rock and jazz ensembles across Russia and Western Europe. An interlude in his musical career was between '89 and '90 when he toured as a soloist with the Moscow Circus Orchestra in Germany and the USA.
Since 1991, he has been living on the Côte d'Azur in Biot, along with guitarist Andrej Bodnarschuk and violinist Fedor Levinstein. Together with these musicians, he performs in various jazz groups (including "Vadim Trio," "Fedor Levinstein & Co.," "Jazz de Moscou"), regularly participating in the International Jazz Festival de Cimiez in Nice. He performs concerts across Europe and taught as a professor at the Centre Culturel of Biot for several years.
Elena Nogaeva I Piano
Elena Nogaeva is a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The internationally acclaimed pianist has already performed with various chamber ensembles in major concert halls across Europe, including venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, Bregenz Festival House, Berlin Philharmonie, and Amsterdam Concertgebouw, to name just a few.
Since 1992, she has been living in Germany, where she has become a true asset to the music enthusiasts of her chosen hometown, Oldenburg. As the driving force behind it, she founded the Oldenburger Promenade International Music Festival in 1997, which she has since led as the artistic director, turning it into a mecca for chamber music and jazz aficionados from the entire region.
One of the guiding principles of her commitment is the professional promotion of young talent in classical music. In 2001, Elena Nogaeva initiated and established the International Music Competition for Youth.
In addition to her work as a pianist with concerts in Germany, throughout Europe, and in the USA, she manages the highly regarded Concert Management Nogaeva, which has established its success well beyond the borders of Oldenburg. Here, she serves as both a visionary and an executive force, driving ideas and their realization alike.
Boris Sluzky I Piano
Boris Sluzky was born in 1962 into a Moscow musical family. He was educated at the Moscow Gnessin Special Music School for gifted children, under the guidance of piano teacher Anna Kantor.
In 1977, he emigrated to the United States, where he pursued further studies at the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He made his debut in 1980 with the New York Youth Symphony at the Carnegie Hall in New York. He gained worldwide attention for the first time at the age of 19 when he won all the top prizes at the International William Kapell Piano Competition at the University of Maryland. He went on to win several other significant piano competitions.
As a sought-after soloist, Boris Sluzky has performed worldwide both with orchestras and in recitals. He has collaborated with renowned symphony orchestras as well as chamber musicians and world-class soloists. Since 1992, he has formed a duo with violinist Ilya Kaier, which is highly esteemed for their recording of Robert Schumann's "Sonatas for Violin and Piano," released by Naxos.
Since 1993, Boris Sluzky has been directing the Piano Institute at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, which was initially part of the first American music academy and is now affiliated with the prestigious Johns Hopkins University.

Oameni ca si Celibidache se nasc o data la 500 de ani !
I know that he's one of the greats, but I'm baffled by his outright dismissal of the Auer/Russian bow technique. This is the hold used by Kreisler, Milstein, Heifetz, Elman, Haendel, Rosen, Kavakos and many other outstanding artists. To imply that it is fundamentally defective seems perverse. I think a better way to approach this is to understand that each hold has its strengths and weakness which you have to learn to work with, whichever path you choose.
Still the greatest virtuoso of the the 20th century, in the true sense of the word. I dare anyone to find me a better recording of the Mendelssohn Violin concerto than his. It's flawless, in terms of articulation and style and sound.
This is might seem funny, but it is sort of like a summary of violin technique for Professionals. A beginner wouldn't get to much from this, unless he was ultra talented. Love him, he's on another level of understanding.

Ar fi frumos ca macar cativa dintre cei care au fost prezenti atunci acolo, sa lase un comentariu cu impresia lor memijlocita despre maestru si acea intalnire. Sunt convins ca mai traiesc, majoritatea atunci fiind foarte tineri.
De cite ori vad acest film cu acest fantastic dirijor care statul român sau mari filantropi nu sunt in stare să facă un bust in fața ateneului Roman
