Fun fact, some of the parts in the original are in E already. The beginning, before the drums and vocals come in, is in E. Halfway through the 'break', with the hardship line, he modulates from C# up to E. The message to my master part immediately after alternates between E and G thrice (E - G - E - G), and everything afterwards seems to be the relative minor, C#m. So a lot of the original song is already in E. Actually, because of this, I would argue that it would be more fitting to say that this version is written in D than written in E. Sidenote: the ending guitar solo sounds really cool in this keyb
