My family vacationed at oven point camp back in the 50s and early 60s. I have so many fond memories of my childhood because of this pristine wilderness.. Every time I smell a certain kind of conifer, my mind immediately goes to long lake and I smile.

I spent my childhood summers vacationing there with family. Words cannot convey what a powerful impact this place had on me. I fell in love with the outdoors, pursued a career in science, and am now a public land manager. If you have the money, buy it! And treat it kindly so some future kid can experience the magic I remember so well.

If only I was born a millionaire so I could afford a place like this. I just love the Adirondack and hope someday to live there before I die. I could only dream because sadly I will never see this in my lifetime. Some people were born lucky! Not me!
