    I think it's so stupid for someone to record themselves painting as if they're actually making a video....showing u the colors and everything but don't talk to the camera....even not showing their face they still can't talk to the camera but then later go and try to do a voiceover on the video and it just makes it sound so fake or too much like a scripted speech or somethin'....Why not just talk to the camera as ur recording urself?

    The chain like lines you got seemed to be a result of the extreme pinching you did on the cup, even though it didn't all come out that way. You should experiment more with that! It's pretty cool and you may have stumbled on to a new technique. Use the cheap paints and just do lots of lines and hoops to see what you get. Subscribed (and love your sweet doggie).

    Congrats! Happy you gave it a try. I’ve been itching to do more Pearl pours 😊 just some thoughts- deco art will often take over, I use it very sparingly in Pearl pours. Also it’s harder to wrangle multiple dump pools. I usually one 1 or 2 max.

  • @sandrabarrett-hoomani4822

    For pearl painting, please check out Sara Taylor. With the method you used today, there is much too much paint on the canvas plus there is no composition at all. Composition needs to be considered even with pearl paintings. By dumping paints on a canvas and moving them around with no consideration of composition is one reason why pour painting is not taken seriously.

    My guess is that the lumps are chunks of floetrol. It dries up around the rim of the bottle and goes in the paint mixes when you pour it out. A lot of people strain it before use (various methods). I have a couple of tiny lumps on my latest, so I’m going to try sieving next time (I’m new to this, but have watched many videos!). Just ignore me if you strain it already! This painting is gorgeous, regardless! Absolutely love the colours and clouds.

    • @holditartaccessories
      @holditartaccessories ปีที่แล้ว

      It was definitely from the gesso. I do strain but sometimes there are still paint boogers, but they look different than this did. These bumps were really hard to show in photos. And they were all on one side of the canvas. So weird! Thank you for the tips, though! And the kind words.

    Oh bless your heart! My heart just sunk for you when you spilled your cup both times. Unfortunately that just blended your layers too much. I remember first starting out 4 years ago and getting so discouraged when things didn’t turn out like I had in my head or like all the professionals that I watched made it look so easy! Hang in there though, we’ve ALL been there and you’ll not only get it but you’ll figure out your own style! I will say, watch Sarah Mack’s galaxy pour playlist! She is the creator of the galaxy pour and an expert at teaching this technique! That’s who I learned from and it’s still to this day, my most favorite Pour to do. Congrats on starting your channel and good luck with your journey!! Much love!!🤗💕

    Use a heavier cup like a measuring cup. You can buy them for 1.25 at dollar tree. Also, you can never have EXACTLY the amount of paint. Minimum is 1.5 of what you think you need. As far as the video is concerned : the music is too loud and annoying. Practice, practice, practice with the camera before you go live. There is no rush! Good luck and most of all breathe and slow down until you are comfortable with video.

    What matters, as you aptly stated, is that you learned a lot. You're correct, the use of a lot of small/thin layers in the cup tend to "muddy up" as you pour them. And you can never have enough paint ready when doing a video or just working in your studio. Good luck on your venture.

    • @holditartaccessories

      @@holditartaccessories Yeah, but rest assured we've all dumped paint, dragged a sleeve through a painting, had uneven leveling which resulted in nice work sliding off the canvas, run out of paint, etc. Ask me how I know...heh heh.
