As a singer myself and someone who has sung the 9th and read analysis about the 9th more than just once, who can sing that thing by heart, I'm a little bit ashamed that I never linked the dots about a work called "Ode to Joy(boy)", written in _D_ minor. And I had noticed that certain obsession in Japan about the 9th, but I didn't know the story behind that. First, I'm gonna tell a tale. A tale about a poem which it wasn't about joy (Freude), but about freedom (Freiheit). The myth said that Schiller's poem originally wasn’t about "joy", but it was about "freedom", but it got censored and it was changed "Freiheit" by "Freude." And I'm pretty sure you know what about Luffy (incarnation of Joyboy(?)) and freedom. There're some things that I don't completely agree about your analysis, by the way. Despite Schiller tended to write in some naive way, Ode to Joy it's not about siblings’ love. Actually, besides that line about actual romantic love (Wer ein holdes Weib errungen, whoever has won a lovely woman), it's literally about brotherhood, but in certain religious way or like in a lodge. _Nakama_ . And Luffy's goal it's not _peace_ , as the same it's not the theme of the 9th. His goal is _freedom_ and _joy_ . And the 9th, as a whole, it's about a BIG party (in quite a metaphysical way, obviously). Actually, if you read the lyrics very carefully, you can find several themes that Oda explores inside OP (Ihr stürzt nieder, Millionen?, are you collapsing, millions?, that sounds like the conquetor haki, doesn't it? or this: "Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen", gladly, as His _suns_ fly. _Suns_ , plural, and etcetera, etcetera.) About Naruto (the city and the character's names), that could be just a coincidence or something that only gave Oda an idea. Sanji was supposed to be called "Naruto" because the spirals (and Sanji is French because the _food_ . Because he's a _chef_ .) (And, by the way, despite what Oda said about "not romance among the crew" - which it's more about not adding something that could distract the focus from the adventure and mystery -, Oda _does_ use romantic tropes all de time, and, apparently, he _is_ writing romance inside the crew in a certain not explicit way.)

Ahhh chopper my beloved reindeer. I have been thinking a lot about Wapol lately, esp given his reemergence in the world. Wapol is one of the few Submarine owners in the series, he has slight ties to blackbeard, and is currently cozying up to the information tzar. Wapol always represented the idea of the WG’s oppression and resource hoarding w his 20 doctors. But the munch munch factory as well. This could have been used to combine lily and imu as the theorist have speculated, making an unholy amalgamation rather than the clean appearance of someone swapped by the ope ope no mi. Just some random thoughts ive had lately lol
