Sailors always get the best spices!
A knife that doubles as a spatula!
Cape dory 30?
Yes indeed
It is a great pressure cooker , as usual the cat is the real star...
That’s my little buddy right there
What an adorable cat! I don't think you're allowed to call your vessel "the good ship" unless you've got a ship's cat.
Love your videos but really annoyed by music
Lol
for not being under pressure sure looked like it when you removed the lid.
Great recipe! My plan was to buy one of these Hawkins stainless cookers to use on an alcohol burner so this was perfect to see that it works well!
Please keep these videos coming! SV Shayndel sailing the Caribbean. Alc stove and oven, pressure cooker, wok, Thermos thermal pot and an 8” skillet...of course a S/S French press. I’ve pared it down and am putting out great food. Thanks for teaching Big Daddy!
With the design of that pot, what is it like pouring out the last bits of the stew and emptying it?
It’s a small inconvenience. But the reduced cook time and fuel use makes up for it
Where is your .45? You need a good, solid folding knife. You need a “robber wallet” with a couple bucks, cancelled credit cards so you have a safe dump in case of assault/mugging and a mini-real battery. Give him the fake wallet, then engage him with pistol fire. Also a tac light...also a couple lighters and some bike tire tube. If the bag is big, you’re less likely to carry it. I’m carrying a suppressed .22 and 3 spare mags.
wtf???
You need to write a cookbook for sailors!
The Trangia sweet spot is about 1” above the stove. The brass stove is hotter than its titanium cousin.
I have had a para ordnance P-12 in .45 acp for over 20 years...same profile barrel but a fat-ass grip. Sight adjustment...just a smidge.
Big Daddy, I’d sail with ya! You taught me some new boat cooking shit. Best meal on passage was Shrimp Creole I made on passage from Ft Lauderdale to St Thomas, VI. Been using thermal cooking (shuttle chef) to save fuel as well. Great way for a hot meal cooked ahead when your expecting heavy sailing in 6-8 hours-a free of good heavy bottom pot too.
Did you make the Naan?
No I didn’t. It was from Walmart
Dude, I’m moving onto my sailboat this month. I have watched your videos and yes, I bought my pressure cooker. Gimballed Alcohol stove and oven. PLEASE keep doing your cooking videos!
I bought a house so they may be coming from home. Congratulations on your purchase
Your recipe’s are great! Congrats on the house. Think about me in the Caribbean on my 35’ ketch needing great recipes. My pressure cooker/cast iron griddle and my thermal pot have become my friends especially on my sailboat. If I know I have a storm coming, I’ll cook a meal and after simmering 10 minutes, I close it up and put it in the thermos jacket. It only looses heat at 3-4 degrees an hour and continues cooking and stays warm. When I’m wet and cold when sailing, I can have a hot bowl of stew (made before the rough weather). That and hot bouillon in a thermos. I just retired post Covid. My ketch is my retirement. After 40 years working in the ER, I’ve had enough!
My baby
I love your videos. Hope you post some more boat cooking videos. Great choice with a 1911 pistol. Kimber’s are always nice, tight pistols. It’ll shoot in...give it a couple hundred rounds. Most auto pistols with problems stem from the magazine. Dump any unreliable magazines and get another! Don’t limp wrist a short barreled 1911. Solid grip structure is key.
I hope you make some more pressure cooker recipes. I’m a sailor and have made several of your recipes! Looking for some more!
Just another great video. Oh and I love my Trangia too, oh for simmering you’re just taking off the flames coming out from the little holes full blast in center? Thanks for the tips.
Yes please more pressure cooking recipes. I used to live in a 35’ sailboat many years ago, now I tent/car camp a lot, live 5 months out of the year in a 30’ trailer on the beach in Baja and these recipes are so handy in a small pressure cooker when space is tight but life is good.😉. Your videos are awesome! 👍🏻 yummmm.
Thank you so much. I am not living on the boat anymore. But I would like to do mire videos
Sailing Anne please do, most cooking videos are for 4 + servings and you have to get “Sahara salt “ 😂 or something ridiculously hard to find for the recipes. 👍🏻👍🏻
I am a sailor on a 35 ft ketch. My stove is a gimballed marine alcohol stove with an oven. I made your lamb recipe aboard as my first meal. I hope you make some more cooking videos aboard Anne. I’m learning quite a lot from you. I love watching you cook (please add amounts!). Thank you
Are you on a sail boat?
Rogue Gypsy i lived aboard for 5 years
Follow through on each SHO. You drop your sights immediately after taking your shots. FOLLOW THROUGH and scan your zone for additional targets.
How do you make your garam masala?
I’m here for the pressure cooker on an alcohol stove on a sailboat recipes! Please add your written recipes with each video...especially your Garam masala mix!
Glad to see you cooking in the boat
Sweet spot on a Trangia is about 2”. See Hiram’s Chanel. He tests boil times for alcohol stoves. You have no need to apologize for your stove system. I like the lodge grill. I have a dedicated alcohol boat stove with an oven. I have aI haven’t tried my oven yet. I can usually find alcohol anywhere and the stove is gimbaled. I can’t use a grill like that but might look for a solid iron griddle. I’m pretty limited in storage space aboard so I am always looking for recipes/good meals! Thanks. Paul
Please make more pressure cooking on a boat! I’m using them on my alcohol stove on my sailboat while cruising. Please include a recipe in comments! You’re a hell of a chef!
What was in the bottom of the bowl? Please add ingredients list/ recipe. Thx. Paul.
Good recipe
Good review. Please make a recipe videos.
Ajit Kumar check my channel i have made several! Thanks so much. Please like subscribe and share!
Sir thank you, plz clarify me which one is best whether Hawkins stainless steel 3 litre pressure cooker tall or wider one, thankful to you.
Vijayshri Viraktamath i like them short and wide
@@2000sativa thank you ,. But it operates better with wide?
Yes for me. It is more stable on a moving boat
@@2000sativa sir I bought tall one ,but thinking of wider so is it better to exchange it?
Wider will heat faster and hold heat longer than a tall one. In my opinion
R u at home or on the road cooking???
Lip stick i live on a sailboat
LOOKs great. I have a new pressure cooker I’m trying to learn to use. I like your videos, but dont have much access to Indian seasonings in Louisiana. Thank you.
Paul Schonbrun i think I got all of them at a chain grocery and u can order anything from Amazon. I lived in Henderson La for a while.

Please do some more recipes! I’m moving aboard next month.
*Love it.>>>**t.co/KzuN0EunuA** Have used it a s rice cooker, slow cooker and pressure cooker. Works fantastic. Very easy to use.*
I'm here for the food, the bloopers, and the cuss words. I also have the small Hawkins in Stainless Steel, great little pressure cooker, though I don't use it nearly enough. I need to use it with the curry recipe. Thanks for the video.
David Kiggins absolutely thThanks for the comment man I really appreciate it like subscribe and share if you want I appreciate that too
Fun video to watch. Mad knife skills. Great music. Gonna make this as soon as possible!!! Thanks!!
That re-purposed/hybrid Coleman Stove with Trangia Burner is awesome.
David Kiggins i tore out the stove oven that was onboard i will only use alcohol as fuel no pressurized kerosene.
"Holy Screaming Eagle S**t", that was a great video. LOL. I recently acquired the same type of pressure cooker and have been researching recipes and ways to use it. You have a pretty inventive kitchen. Always looking for new ways to use my Alcohol burners as well.
David Kiggins thanks man. Holy screaming eagle shit to you. I thought only Marines like me say that. Lol. Now that Texas is starting to cool down I should be shooting some more videos.
I thought it was funny when you said it in the video, and since I served with the 101st Airborne DIV (Air Assault) as a Infantryman (Retired now). The DIV was nicknamed the "Screaming Eagles". Great videos, I subscribed, am watching, and looking forward to more.
Thanks for the recipe - Is that Sailboat? Also the old Coleman stove never seen one like that - It run on alcohol....
yes sailboat. coleman stove shell I use a trangia alcohol stove. alcohol is safer onboard a sailboat than white fuel or gas. thanks for the view, when the weather cools down I will get back to making videos. any suggestions?
Come on Big Daddy! Chef on! The sailing community needs you!
That is a nice recipe, what type of alcohol are the trangia's running on?
Joe Who Dat it is the alcohol fuel from Home Depot the eco-friendly can. And it burns great
Joe Who Dat Denatured alcohol or yellow bottle HEET. My trangia rocks.
You sound like Mrs. Doubtfire during your little Irish Segway!!!
mpd1adam2 thats funny! I hope you got a laugh at my ignorance anyway. Do we know each other?
Your old buddy, Brian McCown, from HMX...
Hey Brian! How is the world treating you? And thanks for subscribing I hope that you share some of my videos I really am trying hard to get myself out there after 10,000 views I can start making money off of this ridiculous nonsense and natural born ignorance. LOL
I really like this video. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?" BAHAHAHA HAHAHA
I am glad youblike it. Im hoping to have the chance to meet you. Its been to long since ive seen your husband. He is one of the really good ones.
