I stumbled upon your TH-cam video about 9 months ago and bookmarked it, and I have been meaning to thank you for uploading it ever since. Way back in the mid 1990s, my partner and I visited Los Angeles. While we were there, we looked at various music shops. One had a late 1979 Les Paul Artist for sale which we bought and brought back with us to Melbourne, Australia. After a few months, I decided I did not like the active circuitry, so I removed the two circuit boards and re-wired the pickups to the original Gibson, humbucker schematic. To this day, I regret doing that as it never sounded right. I put all the boards, battery and some other parts into storage and there they have remained for 30 years. Watching your video has prompted me to put back and wire all circuit boards back to original factory specifications. I could not do that now without your video, as I have completely forgotten what I did and didn’t write down any notes. Many thanks for uploading this video. Please keep it here forever.

Dose anyone happen to know where I can get the mounting brackets I bought one used for 100 bucks but he sold the tractor with the mounting brackets

Well of course it can handle it You can even tackle it when it hits 6 inches to keep up with bigger storms I never understood the mentality of letting 2 t0 5 feet of snow land on your drive way before you start clearing it Get up during the night and check on your driveway as your gonna have a bad snow day with the snow shovel as the tracror could burn out its belts trying to clear big drifts and miss a day at work if you dont

I have a D130 with a slightly newer 44" with power lift kit and a much larger gravel driveway. It blows snow so much better than any walk behind unit, I've had it in 24" drifts (that's with an 18" tall opening, so half a foot above the blower) and it handled it just fine, though it gave the drift knives a workout, and it breaks up icy layers extremely well as well. To solve the lacking of traction for uphill portions, I switched from chains to Terra Grips (they were about $100, who knows now) - they're also much easier to put on and I've never thrown them, unlike the chains which seemed to get thrown at least once a year, and re-attaching in deep snow isn't fun. As a bonus, they also work perfectly in mud - they give me enough traction that I've used my D130 to drag a downed tree from the drive with tow chains when my Subaru with snow tires couldn't budge it.

One suggestion I have if building one of these is get yourself an extra membrane housing. I've had to replace two because of cracking. Now if I have an issue I can swap one out for my spare without any down time. The first two times I was out of commission for days cause I had to order a new one.

Love it. I have an LX277 never had snowblower attachment. We got a used X570 with 44in this year and waiting for snow (in Maine, in January... Sigh). Did reflector to LED custom mod, led headlight upgrade, elift, and impeller mod. I NEED SNOW!

Yeah, man, I’ve been amazed at what this combo can handle snow-wise. I have a 100yd driveway that about half of it is probably 40’ wide. I’ve cleared snow 10” deep, and also 6-7” deep with a thick layer of ice/sleet on top. It’s a good mower, but an AMAZING snowblower! I have almost 180 hours on mine, it has the updated engine. The fuel pump is what I’ve found seems to be the weak point on starting. Sometimes it seems to vacuum lock.

Do you have an idea on how the brix level increases with each pass through the RO system? I’m looking to build something similar but don’t know if I need 2 or 3 membranes. Thanks

Most regular CO detectors will only go off when the levels are really unsafe. They just aren't designed to detect low levels of CO that can still be harmful. You could buy a professional CO meter but you're better off saving that money for a vented heater. Crack your garage door or open a window and you should be fine. If you use the garage a lot invest in a vented gas heater or fireplace. If your garage is well insulated and you want AC as well get a ductless heat pump. The ductless option is better for maintaining a solid temperature in the garage 24/7, they aren't great at rapidly warming up a space.

Do you have the part #'s for the new belts? I just got a used one and need belts.

You wouldnt happen to have the part #'s for the belts would you. I just bought a used unit and the belts are rough.

I got the same model thrower from a guy on craigslist but I'm having trouble hooking it up to my E120. What's the model number of this unit? There are a ton of videos on youtube of folks installing a 44" blower on their 100 series JD tractor, but this is the first video I've seen with this model. Much appreciated!!!

Nice! I have never tested mine for CO2 since I have roof vents, but that’s good to know. I figured it would give you nice results.

Get you a Torpedo heater. I have one, it runs on diesel or kerosene. It heats my 1200 sqft shop from 30* to 65* in an hour and half. I bet it would heat a two car garage in about 15-30 min. I have the dyna glo 125,000 BTU.

A timely video; I just changed the battery on my 80 ES Artist today! The original black battery foam disintegrated last year and had to be vacuumed-out. I replaced the foam with an old piece of T shirt, wrapped around the battery just to stop it moving around in the cavity.

Oil filter cap (or oil filter housing cap) should be torqued to 25 N•m (Newton meters not nanometers). The drainbolt on the oil filter cap should be half as tight = 12.5 N•m.
