It's really exciting to see people experiencing this game for the first time now that it's been remade! The original is one of my favorite games of all time and this is an *excellent* remake. I hope you get lots of enjoyment from it and I look forward to watching you play it!

The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. The soundtracks of SH2 are so Iconic and Divine. 🎶☯️🎶To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️

40:49 well.. nothing ever random in this game. Everything has a deep meaning personal to james which you will find out as you progress through with story of the game. There’s so many different metaphors that holds so many meanings and messages to james with his unconscious mind. Just throwing out that to you. and personally didn’t play the ORIGINAL one and just beat the game yesterday. it was a masterpiece journey changed me emotionally. still beautifully hunted by this game. Like bloated and ugly corpses, their sins. She devours them sin and sinner alike, she saves me, she is an angel”. Everyone’s entitled to one good scare.

HIGHLY recommend playing Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8 (Village) after this one!

This is a story i wish i could experience for the first time all over again. Get ready for a once in a console generation quality of storytelling.

Q: How do you tell if it's fully dead? A: Stomp on it 63 times. Find a shotgun, empty all the slugs into it. Stomp on it 29 more times. If it makes you sleep better, there's a fraction of a chance it's fully dead. If you still can't sleep, return to the creature and stomp on it till you fall asleep.

Silent hill 2 is still considerated to be one of the best video-game story ever written (even after 23 years). It's actually more of a psychological thriller than pure horror so the best thing is to read between the lines because the story could be confusing and twisted ;)

You are super lucky to experience the story of silent hill 2 for the first time, it has made me feel all emotions under the rainbow. Dread, happiness, depression, disgust, anger. The story is just incredible.

The light on your ps5 controller is your health gage. Green to yellow to orange to red. You can gage how many health drinks are needed to restore full health using this. The syringe restores full health regardless.

Real quick, I just forgot to state that I hope this game is a good experience for you in terms of it's quality, not in regards to the horror element which is obviously intended to be unpleasant; To be fair, I know of some individuals who get a weird sense of pleasure from being disturbed or frightened. XD!

I've watched more playthroughs of this game series than I ever played them myself. This series is objectively very important and influencial in regards to the psychology horror we see in other/later video games and general storytelling to some extent. I love Akira Yamaoka's music who also happened to have done this remake; I'm even a fan of a musician I discovered on TH-cam who makes music inspired by him and SH games overall. Last month I finally watched the 1990 film 'Jacobs Ladder' (loved the score), it truely has had a major influence on the SH games as other fans have stated, SH by its nature probably wouldn't exist without the film's existence. It's definitely worth watching! P.s Jacobs Ladder happens to feature a very young Macaulay Culkin which I didn't expect, his role in the film is both sad and beautiful!

Trust me this is going to be burnt into your retinas it's that good Whitney just be prepared & get some throat lozenges because you will be screaming in fear 😱 such a great surprise , really enjoyed & look forward to your journey into insanity 💖🙏🌻🐝
