The non-profit Detroit RiverFront Conservancy was formed in 2003 with the mission of bringing public access to Detroit's riverfront and serving as a catalyst for economic development in the city. The ultimate vision is to develop five and a half miles of riverfront from the Ambassador Bridge to just east of the MacArthur (Belle Isle) Bridge. Find out more by visiting www.detroitriverfront.org

I wonder..... would anyone have issues with an organized bicycle/recumbent trike ride? Would permits be needed?
Looks like white people are about to take over Detroit city
It late fall and the section is not completed. You guys decided to stop in July while only having a few yards of the strip to complete
🤝💯💜 at 5:40 nice splash pad. Where's that at? I tried to keep up but I'm thinking between the carousel 🎠 and the Belle isle bridge or further east? Past Belle isle? Great video! 👍🏼
The Bands are awesome! Thank you The Detroit Riverfront...

It is an opportunity that only comes once in a hundred years !
I just love ! It was an opportunity that comes along once in a hundred years !! Downtown Detroit is undergoing an explosion of development that we haven’t seen since 1940!
I’m was hoping to see a MOCK UP of what the FINISHED PROJECT is expected to look like !
This is wonderful to see being brought to completion definitely a jewel in Detroit’s crown!
I am so excited about this! It’s going to be beautiful 🤩
CONGRATS!! I WALK THE DR EVERYDAY I CAN. SO MAJESTIC!!!
Excellent!!
When this project the Detroit's East Riverwalk is completed next year. It's going to be exciting to see. This is why the Detroit Riverwalk was voted best and number one in the country beating out other cities. The West Riverfront is on it's way. They are working on that project also It's going to be beautiful.
Thank you for changing the face of Detroit!!! Great work being done here :)
All We Need Now is A Taco Truck LOL.
So beautiful and enriching
And thank you, right back, for this cheery video I just watched on a cold, wintry night! Be well!
In the begging the 20 acres of open land will be transformed into a beach and other good stuff look it up it's absolutely beautiful what they are going to do
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy is by far the hardest working , most effective non-profit in Michigan. We are so blessed.
bring yo kees and doo otters
Beautiful and Wonderful Detroit.
I graduated from a small girls school which was in Detroit for many years. Our 50th reunion is in 2020 and I can't wait to get the girls back to Detroit (still my city) and show off the Riverfront and so many great things that are happening in Detroit.
Awesome video!
Kudos to the Detroit RiverFront Conservacy and the people working and living in the Rivertown Detroit Association. Proud to be one of them. Beth Konrad- Konrad Communications, LLC
The river walk is beautiful. Belle Isle is still nice but needs some work.
Did not realize it was this big. Those nearly 6 minutes probably take an hour to ride. I go downtown quite a bit but the river walk in it's entirety may be something to try out. Any idea where a good place to park would be to do the RiverWalk and Dequindre cut in its entirety?
you can park in the Rivard Plaza parking lot. it is free, safe, and open to all the public. I use it all the time. it is located at 8 Water Street just west of the Outdoor Adventure Center.
+jazzyjava correction... Atwater Street not 8 water
U can park by the carousel
you are not safe here don't be fooled
I live in the city. Do you? It's safe. Dont be fooled most negative comments are from people who have never been here. Afraid? Then stay aeay please.
Keep up the great work, Diamond!
The work you guys are doing is amazing!! So GREAT to see!! Thank you!!
I can remember when the Riverwalk area was nothing but abandoned warehouses. Now its scenic and nice. The city has done a great job building it all up. A lot of the interior of the downtown area is pretty cool to explore. Its a curious mixture of modern yet plenty of old buildings with classic Deco architecture. You can ride the People Mover or drive around. Best thing is plenty of parking unlike downtown Royal Oak.
Detroits Riverfront is gorgeous as well as safe. The walk has no incidences of violence or crime since it has been opened. Future development will include retail, residential space, and more restaurants.
