In this short video I intended to collect all the clips officially available for Dir en grey's last indie's gig, which was held at Nippon Budokan plaza on November 2, 1998. It was the final date of the tour named "TOUR Deep [sink], Deep [gaze], Deep [agonize], Deep [-] Final More Deep [sympathy] ~meet evil with evil~".
I've read somewhere that the recording of the show was actually ready to be launched to the market, but was finally cancelled because of the band feeling ashamed about the considerably number of mistakes they've done on-stage (based on some press papers giving them awful reviews, too).
Eventually, fans could benefit from the online leak of a reel of raw footage that still can be watched on TH-cam. Sadly, said footage lacks from almost a third of the setlist, leaving the fans without a glimpse of what was supposed to be the early versions of classics of the band -like "Zan", "Tsumi to Batsu" and "Mazohyst of Decadence"- or even live versions of some songs from the "Missa" EP that never saw light into the live video format -like "Sangeki no Yoru" or "S"-.
I hope for the day the band and its management finally decide to release the full edited footage of this concert, that seems to be existent judging from the filming quality of the clips.
