The Cost of Groceries in Portugal 2022
The year 2022 was a tough one for our wallets. Especially when it comes to checking out at the grocery store. Naturally, while looking at your local meat section, you may have thought about moving countries searching for lower steak prices. If you're wondering where in the world prices are lower, look no further than inside Portugal's Continente superstore. This Portuguese chain claims to have the lowest prices in the land. But if you were skeptical, I was too. So, to test these bold claims In this video, I went shopping to see how much 20 euros could buy you in the local Continente. Please note, this was recorded in the city of Funchal on Madeira Island. So, food costs may be higher because they need to be shipped in.
I hope you enjoyed and learned a bit about the costs of the Continente.
Don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see you around!

You have 3 decent protein rich meals for 2 there plus fresh fruit and salad. You could have bought more decent fresh food instead of the ready made stuff and had another two meals for two. High protein Eggs would have gone towards many good meals too. Boiled, poached, quiche etc. porridge oats are nutritious and filling but you never saw them in the cereal aisle. In a nutshell We could feed a family of 4 for a week on €20.

You're definetly not getting that much food in the US for 23 bucks. The chicken alone would cost close to 20.

Hey Jordan, love the concept. You really got purchasing power with 20 bugs here in Funchal.
