    You need to simplify your UX a bit more ...This is not a complicated system, yet the functions are not very intuitive

    Can your customer service reply to our emails? 6 weeks in and my Zappi charger still not pulling any solar data. The EV Charger installer and myself have contacted you for weeks but you're not answering.

    This is quite possibly the most ridiculously and overly complicated feature. It's such a bad user interface. All i want to do is to stop people from using my charger and after watching this video, I still don't have a clue on how to set this up.

    Does this mean you can run a 3 phase zappi on a single phase supply with a reduced output?

    Hi. I'm hoping someone from MyEnergi can pick up and answer this message, please. I have a newly installed Zappi V2, linked to a PV array and home-storage battery. I'm wanting to discharge any 'spare' energy in the home battery in to my EV, but need to keep the charge speed at 2.5kW or less, in order to ensure than the power ONLY comes from the battery (it has a 2.6kW discharge limit) and not additionally imported from the grid. I'm wondering if this "Device Limit" function would do the trick? Also, I see in the manual that there is a "Limit To Gen" setting (page 24) but no explanation as to how to set this. Are these one-and-the-same, plus can this function be set to reduce the output of the Zappi to this 2.5kW max charge speed? I hope someone can help me with this, please. Many thanks.

    Can I ask a really dumb question 🙋🏽‍♂️ I have a 3 phase commercial unit running solar 3 phase. The solar splits the solar power equally over the 3 phases. I was about to install a 3 phase zappi as it seemed good but from this video it looks like even though it’s a 3 phase zappi you are limiting the zappi to only pull solar from 1 phase. Does that mean then 2/3 of the solar will basically go back to the grid & be worthless???? I understand in Australia net metering is common but as far as I know in the U.K. we don’t do net metering with energy companies on 3 phase supplies which kind of renders the zappi… useless! As you’ll only He drawing 1/3 of the excess solar for the zappi to use! Can you clarify this as I would be absolutely gutted to waste money on this if this is the case! Please advise.

    To stop other people using your charger (without the pin) you have to set ‘Charge’ to off under lock function. The video doesn’t explain that and I don’t quite understand the logic but hey ho. Hope it helps ✨

      any idea how to lock the menu but not prevent charging? just prevent people changing the charging mode(which is currently just on eco+ with a schedule for overnight charging)

  • @andrejwalter8968

    i have set to eco and /or eco+ mode, but it will pull power from the grid, even if the solar is producing 6kw or more. The car wants to charge at 8kw, so it is pulling 2kw from the grid. But i want that it charges at 6kw. I have set 100% minimum green energy

    OK so I followed your very clear instructions and changed the standard 44444 to my chosen number. Now I try to enter the new number and find I cannot do so as i am unable to change the number that comes up on the screen - every button i press moves the cursor to the next number and repeats the one i have just entered. Logically you would move the cursor with the left button, change the number with up and down, and confirm with the right button but that is CLEARLY NOT how it works. deeply frustrating - I cannot charge at all.

    This hub system a looks a bit complicated , why not do it by building WiFi into the zappi? If the Amazon echo can do it without even having a screen.....

    • @cjmillsnun
      @cjmillsnun 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does WiFi go through external walls very well? Also would be dependent on distance between Zappi and router. The frequency of the hub to Zappi communication is 868MHz instead of 5GHz for WiFi. This would allow it to go through external walls and allow longer range.

    • @patdbean
      @patdbean 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cjmillsnun true, 800mhz will penetrate walls better than 2.4ghz and I defiantly wouldn't use 5ghz

      Great video series. I'm planning to hard wire my zappi as WiFi not good. Do I still need the hub even if hardwired to my router?
