It seems easy to make this adjustment, but when the cavity is filled with grease it is a bit harder to do. I really think that Limitorque should modify this mechanism with a reliable manual release, like a forward assist on an AR-15 (M-16), and an electric Kick-Out Solenoid. This would greatly improve the reliability of this mechanism. I know that the Good People at PowerSmith have reasonably priced retrofit upgrades, including Girdle Springs, Semi Permeable Tremmy Pipes, and Spurving Bearings made from Prefamulated Amulite to reduce Sinusoidal Repleneration and effectively eliminate Side Fumbling.

Good info but one key is not to put in too much grease. Some say 60% and EPRI info has to cover the pinion. Presumably this is the little gear on the input. Some might mistakenly cover the larger intermediate gears.
