Same mistake I made…I had sunburn and hyperpigmentation on my face. I started using it once a day at night and in the course of 3-4wks my face got darker( like sun tan even without sun exposure) then I started researching the reason and obviously it’s the overuse. I’m discontinuing for a week so my face can have a break before I continue 2x a week, alone side my moisturizer and vitC serum. The directive on the product is misleading but I think the product itself it great!

Tbh. The only way to get rid of persistent acne is to go to a dermatologist. Only benzoyl peroxide+adapalene helped me with acne. Everything else was very temporary
